I genuinely don’t understand the renown/bounty system right now.
I don’t understand why hardcore pvpers seem to hate and look down upon casual players so much.
Everybody has fun their own way but for some reason a noteworthy group of players have decided that their preferred way to have fun is by taking any semblance of fun away from others for a laugh.
I don’t know about you all, but I don’t find that especially funny.
They do get added, if you look at previous editions you can see that some DID get shipped into the main game; it’s just that vetex focuses on content and QoL changes that can be added from the get-go.
I’d love for the level cap to get raised to 135 in the next update. That would allow hybrids to use Pulsar/Axe-Slash/Vindicator, while pure builds will still have plenty of exclusive stuff, since the dark sea update plans to bring more rare abilities as well.
Some, yes, but not all. This is why people have suggested a Game Health Update- an update which solely focuses on fixing bugs, improving performance, and shipping out QoL updates. Also:
My question is why Vetex chooses to not spend maybe a couple of hours to slap on some changes that the community are complaining about to ship onto the main game instead of waiting until after the major updates come out to do balancing. Making the metas not as ungodly powerful will make the casual experience better indirectly because it becomes easier for them to escape encounters they want no part of.
Well, the current PvE is not that bad, the main problem is the notoriety system, it is so annoying to see that familiar message “Forces Inbound” every time I join a server, I would love to see decreased amount of heavy ships and/or one point of notoriety being cleared for 5 minutes without ANY crime.
I’m not much of a PvP player, so I won’t answer.
I’m not in any of those, so again, I can’t answer.
Renown, hmmm, it seems not that bad, but deckhands are way too hard to obtain at the moment, for me, it’s just prestige.
You know, the biggest problem is the fear of constantly being bounty hunted, my idea is to make a little pop-up saying that “The rumors say that a rookie/adept/elite/etc. bounty hunter is sailing near your location.” That could alarm players and, to make it more balanced, it would only work in towns and civilized islands. These advancement levels could make bounty hunting a new skill tree of some sort, for example you could get the XP amount equivalent to the level of the person you hunted, the more advanced your bounty hunting level is, the more galleons you will get per bounty. I would merge the bounty hunting tree with assasinations.
i would never turn down a fight with the navies sent to arrest me, but i will acknowledge how boring it is to fight them. this is basically just WoM council deployment but this time you have a fighting chance but they never despawn.
and wom council deployment was a fucking death sentence.
Yeah, Magic Council was proportionally stronger, but the navy does a very annoying thing, they shoot or RAM your ship sometimes before targeting on you. I hate it.
far from annoying imo. what i hate is that they are literal merpeople and are capable of swimming across the earth to climb onto the island and jump you.
#1. Thermo wouldn’t have gotten such a large damage decrease if not in prediction of the indirect buff (and the Shot nerfs were mostly due to people abusing Thermo). The changes just weren’t enough to stop people from abusing it, plus the airstall meta just shifted from Warlock to Thermo-Boxing now that warlock can’t go 2 miles with light imbue, Thermo-Spiralling still goes to the moon despite multiple nerfs, etc. #2. I think the excuse for stuns was just “they’re going to be rare anyways.” Always thought it was stupid that the stuns lasted that long (still way too long).
