Spec abuse is just something that’ll happen in any game where specs are given, plain and simple, and thats why i care very little about it.

I think they should just make it so infamy/renown don’t lower if you were hit with a custom before you died and call it a day 
and aren’t in the same clan as the person using the custom.

That’s litteraly just yap, I’ve had friends that have been witchunted to a much higher degree than that but they aren’t being granted customs now are they? If that was a genuine problem, they’d simply disable pvp for themselves, but instead they use it as a fallacious justification for having an unfair advantage over other players.
This is literally only a problem because they are in a clan. There were 0 complaints when Tech & Vet got customs, and Vet has absolutely used cataclysm to destroy people who have come to gank him. Never saw a single person complain about how it was unfair that he was able to prevent hunts.
The customs themselves are not the problem, nor is the reasoning behind them. Just because you have a ‘friends’ that got witchunted to a ‘higher degree’ (which you dont actually know how bad it has been for certain game mods/contributors, you just want to downplay it), does not mean they didn’t also suffer. Even Vet cited toxic community gankers as the reason for his own custom.
They don’t trust the community to foster positive interactions, so instead, we just end up with negative ones, compounding. All this drama will do is serve to isolate them further from the average player and make them want to interact with the community less and less.
Yeah I thought that too, but seeing how absolutely childish and immature their behavior is, I think they just shouldn’t have them.
They simply can’t be trusted to be responsible.

It can be, if its not abused, is the point Im tryna make. The reasoning is FINE, the results aren’t, thats the whole problem.
I think the reasoning is flawed in the first place, otherwise why not give everyone customs?
