that’s true but the point is they’re forces of nature and extremely ancient. sure they weren’t formed with the universe but when were they born? could’ve been millions of years ago for all we know

tell me why a character that objectively has been established to not be able to do something by the writers should be able to do something, WITHOUT SAYING SOMETHING LIKE “but he’s a god! he can do that!” because it’s already been established that no, they cannot in fact do that in this game
and where has it been established? where did vetex say it?
because if gods worked like that then there would be no war of the gods
humans would have all been killed in a couple seconds and then there is no story
it was established with the existence of poseidon magic and the death of the entire one-shot pirates in the lore doc

why do you keep insisting that a story, with it’s own set of rules and logic in how things work, needs to function identically to it’s source material, or otherwise have a reason that makes some form of sense?
it’s extremely clear, wary: The reason the gods aren’t all-powerful and were able to die is because the gods are not all-powerful in the arcane universe. They just aren’t, and there’s no “reason” for it. That’s just how gods work in the au.
