the game is 100% based on greek mythology so discussions of how greek mythology works and how it’s developed in ao falls into lore discussion as greek mythology is the lore of the game (also the gods are cool i hate that vetex killed them off what a dumb decision)

the war of the gods makes sense cuz no way in hell is zeus letting humans get that strong
as it is rn it doesn’t make sense but i hope vetex explains it better so it does make sense i’ve already explained in detail before why it makes no sense also you can’t kill gods as they are forces of nature as i already said but again i hope vetex explains it better so it makes sense. the gods are called “deathless” constantly and it is literally a huge epithet for each god and the reason why kronos didn’t just kill zeus and his kids but ate them was again bcuz they’re deathless and can’t die. the reason kronos is in tartarus and not truly dead is cuz he’s a deathless god. the reason that prometheus wasn’t executed was bcuz gods cannot be killed shrimple as that. so yeah if even the gods can’t kill each other or themselves then i frankly don’t believe some weird power hungry loser teamed up with poseidon and killed them 
that’s fucking comical. either arthur is a mary sue (which he is) or the deaths makes no sense either way
Can’t we just have a universe where there are elemental gods named Zeus or whatever and primordial forces, and they all get in bed with each other, that parallels greek myth instead of trying to be it?
We do also have a bunch of unnecessary parallels to other random mythologies.

he doesn’t even have a real personality or backstory or anything at all. he’s just super op for no good reason friends with a god cuz he’s just SOOOO cool and ofc he can break the rules of the universe and do the impossible aka kill gods

i’m just asking for an explanation. it’s not “irrelevant” it should be explained lol like logically how tf can arthur kill gods? i wanna know how that’s possible in any way like i’m not truly opposed to it but it’d be nice to know

Arthur killed the gods because he killed the gods. It’s totally possible if you just stop thinking of everything as having to follow what an interpretation of greek mythology says.
The gods were killed by arthur because the gods are people and thus not full on impossible to kill (or damage to a point that they’re basically dead). It’s already been mentioned that when a god dies (in this case hades), their whole thing is already taken over and works automatically (hell just functions on it’s own)
the point is not that you can do that the point is you wouldn’t get the chance. if we think logically then some random loser named arthur couldn’t kill zeus as zeus would just spawn 10 thousand ultra heated lightning bolts and fry arthur to his subatomic particles or zeus would summon a tornado like the great red spot on jupiter and tear arthur apart
gods are literally the ones who shaped the universe their power is near limitless they can literally do anything and they control everything
zeus can’t do that, in the arcane universe
arthur didnt fight alone he had several powerful allies (which may have included the goat freedrock)
they’re not ppl bro they literally formed with the universe and shaped everything on the planet. they can control everything and do anything at all
idk this is still unclear and doesn’t make much sense at all it feels like vetex slapped that together lazily in 5 seconds to explain smth quickly before he could come up with something better. i really hope it’s explained more in the future
