There are hundreds of versions of same myths and they’re all canon really
Zeus’ wife is WHO??
yeah but i’m talking about the main version that most people who study mythology rely on
tho i can definitely say that there is not a single ancient greek version of that myth where persephone and hades are happily married because that’s not the point of the whole myth. it’s about how girls in ancient Greece were married off young and stolen from their mothers and the mother’s grief over losing her daughter.
hera…? (am i stupid because i don’t understand what you mean here)

and if you meant the medusa myth then no. medusa in actual greek mythology was ALWAYS an evil monster. a gorgon. that literally means something like “ugly monster” in ancient greek
she was killed by perseus who was aided by the gods because she was a monster. not some tragic victim
the idea of her as a victim is a later invention that was popularized in modern day because it’s possibly more interesting ig but it just feels weird because the later myth is not greek and never was. it’s roman. and unlike popular belief the roman and greek deities are very much separate and the mythology has differences. it’s simply similar because the romans adopted a lot of greek art and mythology and basically appropriated their culture
EDIT: wrong person i replied to ![]()
no. his WIFE is hera. there’s no such thing as not cheating in greek mythology. here, it means that he cheated on hera with demeter. also how is zeus being her dad relevant? that’s also part of the myth. fathers from my understanding would arrange marriages for their daughters for profit or political influence
opened this thread and smiled, finally. a vetex screenshot
don’t delve deeper,
some forumers have gone to far…
do i wanna know?
definetly not
it happened on the wiki (a wikian forumer) but shit was vile
ive been playing so much monster hunter i thought ‘dragon’ was an element
Finally, actual lore.
nvm i cnat read for shit (edited)
probably just creations/offspring of chaos energy
I haven’t even played Monster Hunter and I too thought it was an element
Could’ve also been me and thought of it as the Pokemon type
I didn’t, since I am well aware of dragons as creatures, but still, it would’ve been funny
“Save the lesbian society mc!”
I feel like this was the result of the fact that despite them being immortal hades is the only god who actually attempts to stay with his lover which is kind of romanticized
Hades seeing people romanticize his “relationship” with Persephone because he’s loyal while forgetting the fact that he kidnapped her and later basically drugged/poisoned her to sometimes stay in the Underworld
