Not criticizing elden ring withe m1 uptilt combo extender, i was talking about other roblox games. But i still don’t want elden ring combat in ao. If i wanted elden ring combat i would play elden ring. Plus that sort of combat probably wouldnt do too good when it comes to pvp

And I don’t really give to much of a fuck about uniqueness if all AO combat is, is unique. I don’t think it should be striving for that instead of a combat system with a lot of variety (which elden ring has) in PvP and pve and be fun at the same time
Nope but Pilgrammed was the closest thing to Elden Ring that I had in terms of combat
the way I interpreted it the movement would be moreso like elemental battlegrounds, where it’s still somewhat similar to the current combat, just more scaled down.
yeah, not saying I don’t want aerial stuff or good movement but I do feel this one’s a bit overturned to the point attacks have to fit it too
Look at elden ring’s spell/ash of war/incantation roster and look at AO’s

looking back at this thread having elden ring or soulslike pvp in a game like AO where there are stats like attack size and agility (for now) it would be a fucking shitshow
I personally don’t mind this change, but if I get to say: I would not remove T-Jump, but instead just lower the height and make it only usable after a certain time interval after the last use.
Sometimes PvP in AO feels to fast and un-immersing (imo) and leaning more to aerial combal. While these are what makes AO stand out from other games, it kind of makes it boring too. I mean, I really don’t like the fact that you have to be in air all the time to win the fight. Also, being on the ground and using mobility spells like rising tide would be cool.
Overall, I like mobility, only of it’s similar to WoM dash mobility. In fact, when I played AO for the first time, the range of the dashes and t-jumps feels entirely unfamiliar to me and weird, it took me a while to get used to it. Dash and T-jumps in WoM feels more nice and unawkward.
I like the idea.
A very early combat teaser is what got me excited for AO, so I’d love a more grounded combat experience.
A lot of stuff would have to be reworked, including skills to make them a bit more different for eachother and maybe adding some extra mobility to them.
(whirlwind moving you slightly forward like in BOTW)
Honestly with the introduction of climbing gear I think vetex should consider it
At this point let’s add a poop meter and during combat you can shit on the floor to create a hazard which ragdolls the enemy if they slip on it
And it synergizes with rolling by making you fly into the air while vomitting in a large radius around you
