you literally just mentioned boats, they’d be chasing you using their ship weapons and such, not their magic attacks

but ive seen mentions of harpoons and ballistas which shoot arrows (smol aoe)

wdym unable to aim? you can literally aim them if you press “e” and aim them, sure you can’t aim them that much forward but then mortar and ram then
stuff like mounted cannons and harpoons which will slow you down and put you into cannon firing range.

yea, they can aim their cannons at you/your ship, if youre fighting someone on a ship and your on land then just run into the island 
but my point is barrage is kinda a mid spell compared to the other ideas on the list, like meteor spell and magic limb just sound dope compared to many projectile
which is exactly when you should use a barrage spell
im not saying it isnt mid, im just saying its not useless
it won’t do as much damage as you give it credit for, its still for pressuring and chasing when your opponent is low and trying to run away. its supposed to be hard to dodge and easy to hit.

i dont think you follow, you said when they are chasing you then you go onto an island, i say that is exactly where barrage spells come in handy
because island = hiding
but barrage = big explosion aoe
= flush them out and also hit them a lot

yea sure, i could see it having niche uses, but i don’t see it having direct combat capabilities compared to some of the other spells like meteor spell and such
