Reminders for AO (Part 3)

balancing the entire build around specialised savant is a terrible idea when you can just remove them, savant would have never gotten nerfs otherwise
all of its nerfs were because you could get near full mastery of something by investing half as much as a pure build. made savant the semi-master of one instead of the usual good at everything master of nothing

like yeah, i get that at level 125 you are pretty damn limited when you have to spread across 3 stats, but

  1. theres hardly anything to do about it, thats kinda just the idea behind going for somehing too balanced so early. it gets better later
  2. awakenings arent set in stone. im sure most people want anyhing but a second magic/fighting style as the first awakening and that could definitely change

I could understand the change if the level cap was higher than 125, but because it is savants are just left with useless skills for the build

realized that not even the 110/90/50 Savants are gonna exist with this change (myself included)

Iā€™m just feeding on the weekly dosage of AO drama while everything around me burns

I appreciate having a voice in the game but damn what were people thinking with this.

i think fire just needs a gimmick

perhaps fire gets more bonus damage against burning targets (better self synergy)

Yeah, perhaps.
Or a speed buff, which could be the best course of action for it imo.

Do people not understand how hard it is to tell satire from written text in many cases? All of this confusion could have been fixed if Fluect didnā€™t try and make a joke.

Will we at least get some kind of level cap raise next update?

Seeing as how thereā€™s gonna be legendary ships and sea monsters twice their regular size, ADDED with these balance changes alongside a brand new ship, I feel like the games about due for its first level cap raise.

prob not, vetex has stated many times level cap will ONLY raise with the storyline. I have no idea how we will fight the dark sea npcā€™s but i guess we have to let him cook

the change on the balance doc doesnā€™t nerf all savants, it mostly nerfs the ones abusing the tiers system

except those builds are practically mages/berserkers but absolutely terrible.
