People are treating the old list of planned losts/ancients as a completed list when it was clearly stated that it wasn’t
A good part of your experience? Dawg lost magics at the earliest are level 300, which if vetexs estimate of 600 levels of story holds true that’s literally half of your experience through the story.
And as for the part about a choice of magic, yeah sure Hecate essence is rare, but that’s the point.
But, me personally, and I think i speak for most people, I chose my base magic based off of what my future lost/ancient magics may be purely based off of theme, I’m sure others have different opinions, and that’s fine, but you could certainly have that lost/ancient for your second magic(or however Vetex has planned for that)
Worst case scenario you use the free stat reset and fudge your 2nd magic choice if you really wanted to.

irc Galaga made the Yuletide boss and even if she failed to escape the bow-NPC jank i did like that boss (farming five thousand giftboxes aside) so Hallbjorn is gonna be fire
It was a fun fight but I hope he gets some unique moves or features
