good concept but this is so obviously copying the marines from one piece 
, i’m all for inspirations but it’d really save us all a headache from those “one piece copy” kids

they honestly can work wonders for the theme
eh i’m less worried about them and the repeat of what aa did, something to freshen up things that make them look unique would be nice

I want something more inspired just so they feel like their own thing. I don’t want to think of the grand navy as the one piece guys but here, I want them to be the freaking Grand Navy and I want them to stand alone.
i agree, those coats with the arm sleeves hanging back is so unoriginal and re-used in almost every sea-based anime game, we want AO to stay as original and unique as possible.
however, like vetex stated in a different cost, it’s kind of hard to make “navy” clothes without some kind of white and blue.
Though I did made a model that is far far of the color scheme though still following the Gauntlet thing from the AG.

tbh color limits aren’t really an issue but something that would make sense like constant combat wear and what not. so stuff like suits, coats or anything that isn’t really handy to have in combat would be obnoxious
thinking more on the lines of cloaks, light armor to have decent protection but be able to move around in a ship without any fuss like regular cloths. while also being able to charge into battle, scavenger like armor stuff but more sea environment and coastal island focused and not being unnecessary too much
the player isn’t going to be thinking, wtf is he wearing a coat to battle because vanity exists and it’s a video game, no one really cares about how someone is dressed, and while other color nominations can work for a navy, the most common thought of is white and blue
