I wasn’t a day one wom forumer but when I look back like a year ago idk how to put my finger on it but everyone felt more chill and laid back nowadays there’s always something going on and some people feel tense.
I have always wondered, what progress would wom be at right now if AO wasn’t being worked on
By this time it could probably be at that large desert area I’m forgetting the name of. I honestly think WoM was there almost, it could’ve been a really fun game if it was persued further.
I do miss 2022 forums honesty, I’m sure it was even better in the golden age of WoM and around the TGR announcement.
It’s not even about AO, I only play a couple times every other week at this point, but damn do I miss when the biggest drama was the whole reminders 2 renaming saga.
I hope people start doing more large things on the forums though, community projects like @Bio’s statues or @Crimsonpants’ ARG made the community feel alive.

Only reason I am in the forums is because vetcord is just a mess in my opinion.
I do agree, I am seeing that everything is kinda going downhill, but that is because there is nothing to do as Pox said. You will see actual discussion than whatever drama we have right now after the update.
Even then, some things change every once in a while. But some things just remains the same. And also it is the internet, of course everyone is horny.

well like those times were great and people ran around and sang in circles and played patty cake all day but then one day this asshole came and his name was sandal (dubious) and he was like “yeah aarrhghhh I’m so bad mwahahha” and he started peeing on all of the flowers and tore off the “do not tear” tags on people’s mattresses and then he also called everyone a poo head and yeah it was bad

we have 2 new areas
each with fuck all content
the story has only progressed where we have the second magics

or our community fuck us we sent death threats to vetex and got an unfinished game like we were expecting
but wom
isn’t any better
and i’d honestly believe that update progression would be even slower than currently if he stuck to the area system

we made the best of it
i think that was the golden age
no guilds (they all left)
just our personal echo chamber
and we had fun
yeah we have run out of things to talk about
but things really haven’t changed from the tgr hiatus
i think most of if not all of these problems were caused by people just forgoing being friendly/respecful for something else at inappropriate times
i think if people here remain civil nothing can spiral out of control (read: remain civil)
i dont think this place is going anywhere
i remember where we were stalking the trello for updates, waiting for any image, any pixel of the game to be leaked

From what I see, there’s a occasional pointless drama over some random BS every now and then because that’s what humans are drawn to - drama and attention
The forums aren’t some crumbling wasteland filled with toxicity infused monsters, it’s just missing some (or most) of the cool people who were around during the WOM era.
As for everyone being bored of AO, I guess in the two years they spent waiting it’s just natural that their hype for the game slowly died down and now at this is point their moving on to other things besides gaming
The only really true “negative” change I’ve seen is the over saturation of suggestive art, but we can’t act like there wasn’t shit like genderbent exiled and Minotaur back during WOM.
tl;dr - the forum isn’t dead or some horrible hellish pit but it is infact a bit different yeah

yeah we (I lurked) had nothing at all to talk about, so the posts that WERE made were much more general
now that the game is done and this place is more popular people still talk about some things to do with ao but its stale
