Remove agility please

i know this is a joke but please i’m talking about pvpers abusing agility not pvpers complaining about pvers using agility :sob:

Its okay Onion I am taking the chance to harass ya’ sorry lol.

hi “taking the chance to harrass y’ sorry lol.”
HAHAHHAHAHAHA

NO. I hope your hunt target gets mauled by a bear. :frcryin:

why so much violence taking the chance to harrass y’ sorry lol?

Fair points, but I do believe that the cone check would be enough (ofc I know it wont completly solve it, but I do think it will make the situation much better).

Fair, but just like my last point, I think that the cone check would be enough to solve that. Like, if you can barely run away from a fight with the cone check then the one with 2 substats that arent agility would be on the advantage.

Not by THAT much unless you’re running something like 300+ agility.
Also the movement from spiralling fury and rushdown decreases alot when not aiming at someone, and Cjudge have enough endlag to negate the extra distance if you’re trying to run away. So neither can really be used to escape and the benefit of extra distance traveled by a move on a fight is not that good when compared to what other substats do.

Im pretty sure it does.

I also use it bc having higher mobility is just fun. Makes the game far more enjoyable when doing PvE activities, PvPing, or just moving around in general.
For PvP I dont use agility mainly bc of the repositioning and dodge advantage, I use it bc it makes playing as a mage fun, since it breaks the “sentry” playstyle that alot of mages go for.

I just usually take a break when writing and go do something else, then come back, rewrite some sections, go do something else, repeat.

The debate never ends

When did I say it was the point, and when did I say I wanted agility removed :sob:

Why do I see 3 people typing at the same time, thats not good

Im not? Why would you think that?

Rare Master Onion L take :sob:

It’s easier to add a stat than remove one

Ppl care about pvers and agility

It’s fun to make gimmicky 630 agility builds to rp as the flash :skull:

Listen to me cuz im ur fav pvp apprentice

Ok all bait and “dark sea is a pain in the ass” aside
I actually do agree with this. PVEheads aren’t the only ones running agility, it’s literally the meta for the renown leaderboards (along with aoe mages). It serves little to no purpose for the game outside of running from combat scenarios.

If base agility was buffed and agility was removed, game would be fine as long as dark sea islands were shrunk in height a TON to compensate for the time we’d spend climbing without teleport jumps on the massive dark sea islands.

As for the “it lets us run from Atlanteans” argument, if you have to actually run from Atlanteans you’re too far into the dark sea (aside from Hecate search that’s a different matter entirely). We aren’t even supposed to be past insanity 2 iirc.

There are literally zero arguments against removing it that aren’t cope atp, except for the “what do we replace the stat with on armor” argument, and to that I say add something funny like a critical chance stat or just give more gear defense or power because most of it is unusable.

Cone check is definitely going to be very helpful but that’s more something we need to see in practice before we can evaluate it

The affect is pretty noticeable past 200+ which is what a good amount of these gankers are running

You’re misunderstanding what i meant, I probably should’ve been more clear but im talking about these abilities use in combat, not running. The ganker’s dashing, reflexes and leaps usually cover that part

Understandable, I like to run around sameria with my 600 agility mage, it just feels so freeing and fun

I meant the point of the issue with agility, I actually have no idea what you intended with that message so I apologise if I got something wrong

i’ve been thinking about this for a long time
added with my actual experience in both pve and world pvp
and how i’ve yet to see an argument that convinces me

this is a reasonable take backed up by like, literally everyone i know who does pvp

as for this u don’t even need agility to run from atlanteans :sob:

THANK YOU OH MY GOD

i used to cope like this but i’m tired of pretending agility isn’t just completely useless for the game

was just commenting on it :man_shrugging:

Here

Ngl, I’ve fought people using it, and use myself, it never felt THAT good in combat. You can notice, ofc, but I wouldnt say it makes that much difference to the point of being actually detrimental.
The only real valid problem I see with agility is that it makes too easy to get away unpunished, not bc it makes easier to dodge attacks.

Good point, yeah. Im just very hopeful it will be good.

I thought agility affected the move speed and not the distance?

Nevertheless it’s certainly has more combat advantage compared to if it was the same build with no agility so I would say it helps people bounty hunt

Yes this is precisely the problem, the issue isn’t dodging attacks but how easy people can go unpunished for fights they started

Meta this, meta that. Its a game with combat, there will always be an annoying meta, it just happens to be agility this time.

Thats just wrong. It makes the game more enjoyable as a whole, helps with moving around, avoid NPCs more easily, doing charts on big islands, dark sea.
A better way to put it would be:
In PvP, agility serves little purpose besides to run away from combat scenarios.”

Nuh uh.

Theres literally only 1 valid reason to remove agility that isnt cope, and that is running away unpunished.
While removing it would make the game objectively worse for anyone who uses agility for anything besides PvP.

Dark sea aside

Talks about dark sea (No argument here just thought it was funny)
