they go so far wdym
i have never played a game with as much base mobility as ao
i highly doubt dashing in a straight line across an island would take up a significant part of that playtime
OnionCream not understanding how alot alot of small time saves stack up together:
hanmbi casually committing ad hominem
Onioncream not realizing I understand Latin;
I just don’t want to get ganked man and lose so much fame on my gravy file
My assassin file is a different story I feel like getting ganked on my assassin file feels right because of the multiple atrocities I have committed on that file
agility being removed will not hurt your chances to escape an encounter
if two people have an equal amount of agility, it’s much easier to run away than it is to chase since spells lock you in place
additionally gankers run at least 200 agility, making it so casuals who might not have a complete build or not run agility have zero chance of escape
whereas actual pvpers (me) get frustrated since the ganker blasts off at the speed of light the nanosecond they realize they’re not easy prey
when you think about it there’s literally no reason why agility shouldn’t be removed
except for hanmbi’s argument i’ll give that one some credit
yes it wont ruin pve but that doesnt make pve an entirely invalid side/reasoning at all here
this undermining the effect it has on travel in general by a lot (dark sea islands is like the #1 example)
this is why i mentioned theres actual solutions besides removing agility
we could try a remake that (ass) exhaustion idea to be less complicated because that was such an unnecessarily confusing and complicated rework
i had the idea of “dodge charges” that would make your dashes weaker after running out of them and you’d need to stop dashing for a bit to refill them (i dont know how many youd have) and theyd only deplete in combat
my idea was that it’d make spamming dashes not the optimal way to run away
that idea probably has issues i havent thought about and its been a while since i made it but yk what im saying theres things we can do besides removing it

i was on the forums since the very first open tests of WOM

Red herring fallacy, you’re not talking about the main point
Instead of complaining about agility, the main thing you’re frustrated at is gankers
How about we just… not give them attention they don’t deserve
Or get good at aiming musket lmb
Also you can either run, hide and fight
If running doesn’t work (pov 200 Agi), fight
Build incomplete? Hide
PEOPLE FORGET TO HIDE
what i’m trying to say is, agility removal will barely affect pve whereas it will heavily affect pvp
the tradeoff is a net positive
i still don’t think it’s t hat big of a deal to just take a few extra seconds dashing
i don’t exactly see how this would even fix the major issue of agility users being able to casually dash away in a straight line
counter red herring
i’m gonna make it very clear here that i’m talking about gankers running agility, not gankers as a whole
You said “additionally gankers run 200 agility”, not “gankers can run an additional 200 agility”
why are you nit-picking what i said you know what i meant
No I did not, and red herring again
???
if ur not gonna add anything to the argument i’m not gonna bother responding
Okay let me word it this way
I did not know that you meant ‘some gankers’ when you said ‘gankers’ in general
