Remove agility please

Nearly all of my file has 70 agility only (From 10 Exotic jewels)

maybe a thermo nerf fixes this issue

agility is such a weird stat to balance
if it doesnt scale good it feels shit to use
if it does scale good it feels shit to fight

removing a stat isnt something i entirely agree with but honestly i struggle to find any solution that works better for everyone involved rather than fucking over one half of the playerbase

we’ve been spoiled haven’t we? We were exposed to the light of movement options after years of WoM’s stamina-costing runs and normal jumps and the lack of sprinting. These movement options have hit us so quickly that we are on a high

Doesnt matter how big it is, AO is primarily a PvE game, and it will most likely stay like that. And honestly, I think it should.

I mean, that and also: having agility pots, slow gels.
If you dont want to fight you can also: avoid/hide/hop servers, or jump on a ship where agility is pretty much useless, become a low value target…
Also if you dont want to you dont need to give chase, you can just let gankers run away.
Does it suck when a ganker manages to run away while low on hp? Sure does.
Should you care that much about it? No.

Dark sea islands. Those are a pain to move around without agility.

No, no it isnt. Considering the terrain of most big islands, such as ravenna, shell island, those damn dark sea islands, etc, it just isnt.
Climbing without agility is quite frustrating when compared with climbing with agility.

Just moving around is already heavily affected by agility. Maybe it wont change THAT much when fighting NPCs, but exploring would become a much less enjoyable experience as a whole for ANY PvE player, and thats really not good for a PvE focused game.

I don’t really understand why people want agility removed?

Vetex would need to find a replacement stat for all of the current sets that use agility - god bless us if that ends up being armour piercing.

Y’all pvp blokes say that it is annoying having people just run away from a fight, but - counterpoint: its annoying having a pve experience disrupted by a rando ganker. If the victim running away is annoying, then so is dying and losing all your treasure charts.

i can see why people would want to remove agility - it’s the most broken stat currently in all scenarios, beating every single other stat since you can literally just endlessly run away from your opponent without anything you can do, really

it beats every stat in the game and needs to have something happen about this situation, though definitely not a removal

i dont care about pvp anymore. but i use high agility builds to traverse dark sea islands quicker. some of them have no right to be so massive.

remove it so gankers can’t just build 200 agility and chase me, a 0 agility pver, down with no issue

after reading this thread i have come to a conclusion,
agility must be deleted… people who invest are faster
defence must be deleted… people who invest in it are tanky and hard to kill
power must be deleted… people who invest in it do to much damage
atk speed must be deleted… people who invest get attacks that are hard to avoid
size must be deleted… people who invest get attacks that are hard to avoid

i agree that past i3 dark sea islands get ridiculous but

  1. that’s an issue with dark sea generation and not base movement speed itself
  2. we aren’t even supposed to be that far at this stage of the game
