because even if the stuff is still level 90, you’ll be able to get it back once you get to level 90. By resetting just your level, you’d be able to experience the game how it’s meant to be played, while also not having to grind for rare items all over again.

Again, it’s a win-win for those who want a level reset and those who don’t. It’s your choice to experience a new game; reset your level for that authentic experience or keep your level because you like it.

oh i see thanks that helps

it doesnt need to make sense. Theres a very good reason why you should not wipe items: you will make so much time go to waste

i completely agree

same

here’s the stars

A lot of people might not do that, because most people did Builds for their characters, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to throw all his effort into the trash, only if he has a new slot, which I have, so I would create one from 0 .

only the level would be reset though

forgot I didn’t rate this

my actual answer is hell no though. if he wants to delete saves, then let him do so. if he doesn’t, then let him do so. this is just unnecessary code, as @desired_bag has said.

…what?
it’s just a prompt asking people if they want to reset their level, and nothing else
still optional

If it is to reset the level, the way I understood it was to understand that it was to reset your Save.

if they wanted to reset their levels, then they’ve already played the game, so they probably aren’t making their choice on the fly anyway.
if this prompt actually gets accepted, three scenarios present themselves here (that I can think of):

  1. They’ve played the game, and don’t remember doing so.
In this case, they’d probably pick “no” regardless, so they can see what they did before hand. The likelihood of someone deciding to delete their save in a game they don’t remember/haven’t played in a long time is basically zero.

Since WoM (and I’m assuming AO) will have a graphic showing if a slot is occupied, it’s not like they won’t see it.

  2. They’ve played the game, and remember doing so.
In this case, they’ve probably already made up their minds about it, the prompt likely won’t change much about this.

  3. They haven’t played the game.
The prompt never shows up for them anyway.

Hence: unnecessary code.

so if someone did want to reset their level, they’d have to transfer everything on to an alt, create a new file, and then transfer everything back?
sounds tedious
but also neat i guess

considering that someone in this thread said something about vetex confirming on twitter that levels are staying, that’s what they’d have to do anyway.

bad suggestion the levels should be forced reset, only a prompt saying what happened and telling the players that their inventory WILL stay
