hmm maybe increasing the cooldown overall for mage spells, i’m not sure whether this conflicts with lore or anything like that though honestly
yeah that sounds like a good idea, it feels like it’s already in the game even! check and see i think the devs really liked your idea and added it!
you have a good point there, but weapons also have enchants. We don’t want the balance team nerfing a weapons size affinity, making it balanced with dense but trash with ardent
I wanted to see your opinion on this new form of customization
Difference is warriors need to grind dark sea for hours while every other class gets customization for free to a higher degree
i mean tbf weapons are the most interchangeable class, provided you have enough weapons level its absolutely free to change weapons
i 100% agree this is bad and i switched off warrior because of it but i already knew weapons were going in that direction and i dont see vetex changing it so im just making compromises
Same with spells, and you dont even have to grind for them
this is why lost spells are being added, to add variety to magic builds
same with lost techniques
besides when you use a scroll for lost spells you lose the scroll permanently
If vetex swapped enchanting weapons for mage or beserker style customization i would definitely support that change
that’s only just atm lol
when more lost and ancient stuff comes out magic and fs have to grind just as much
thats still not a good thing…
and warriors will still have to grind more than the others…
Dynamic Clashing-
Make is so clash effects aren’t just visual, and actually effect gameplay
Examples include:
When Water Magic hits a Heat Magic, it produces a large cloud of steam that does damage over time for 10 seconds(Damages Anyone)
When Poison Magic hits a Heat Magic, the explosion damages all in the radius (Damages Anyone)
Light and Shadow Magic produce an equinox explosion (would probably be the highest damage out of any clash) (Damages Anyone)
When Metal Magic is hit by a Heat Magic or Lightning Magic, it gets a damage boost and applies those effects (Metal User is Immune)
When Earth Magic is hit by a Heat Magic, it causes a magma explosion, and then the earth attack starts producing magma puddles as it moves (Earth User
is Immune)
When Two Light Magic spells clash, it produces a flash of light that blinds anyone looking in that direction (Effects Anyone)
Examples of damage formulas:
2(Light Spell + Shadow Spell)
(Heat Spell + Poison Spell)
0.3(Heat/Lightning Spell) + Metal Spell (Not an effect, just adds that damage to the metal spell)
0.1(Water + Heat) (Per second)
Feel free to suggest other effects
i’m a bit confused, here on wiki it says they have clash advantages, i do remember reading somewhere that they don’t do anything though
i take it you mean that when the magics collide they do something, i think it’d make for a good suggestion, people have discussed this before so go and read other people thoughts on this, i reread your ideas for clashes i think you’d do good to find a clash sheet or something, i think shadow and light would cancel eachother, metal hit by lightning may do good to reflect it back at the lightning user, light one is good, earth one not too sure about, poison and heat should expand the gas clouds, fire and poison maybe an explosion (?) i don’t think that’s how all poisonous gases work.
for water and heat we have scalding, i imagine the steam would be harmless, i’m not too sure though.
i feel like these were getting added eventually in some way already
There are already effects for all the clashes, like how if a poison blast comes into contact with a heat magic, it makes a big explosion. What I’m yapping about is how I think effects like that shouldn’t just be visual and should deal damage to anyone nearby
For the water+fire thing it would probably produce steam wherever the blasts collided, but given that water would win the clash, it’s blast wouldn’t be despawned
Light and shadow canonically produces equinox magic which is a big explosion or something
Or like when a light blast collides with calvus’s aether magic
clashes were only cool back in aa
Above all my many, many ideas has to be class-based Skill Trees.
Awakenings…think about them. They only give you the base feature(s) of your class, which clearly isn’t special, despite your supposed divine blessing. Any generic Grand Navy Marine can have the power you do, and earlier at that! What seperates you, the strongest will of all legacies, from anyone else?
I say, we need to have a more powerful Awakening, one that reveals its potential as we do. And using a skill tree, we can do exactly this!
Weapons builds could gain proficiency with certain weapons; magic builds with certain aspects of their magic, etc. It could even incorporate unique features besides levels, like relevant skill usage and/or rare ingredients, to supplement the ‘endgame’ progression of gear.
Soo… yeah! That’d be cool, I guess.
Miscellaneous ideas:
- PvP Toggle outside of combat
- Arcanium-Strength Armor (for Hybrids)
- Dark Sea exposure effects; the time it takes you to get True Captain should give you somerhing like, a bad*ss Atlantean-mutation scar or something which you can toggle on/off
- Vanity-exclusive gear design competitions, which include credit for the winning ones
- More Renown titles and progression outside of leaderboard ranks
- Ship Auras from Enchanters based on Magic or other Essence
- Fighting Derivative Ship Gear; Thermo Cannons, Iron-Coated Hull, etc.
Add a way to become a Vastus
make minotaur canon
i didn’t realise that was the canon result of those two i was thinking equinox as a very unrealistic thing to say…
i get more of what you’re saying now, i remember people did bring that up and it was discussed beforehand.
I can forward it to suggestions channel in case you wanted me to(send the version you want sent, it’ll have you username too), make sure you run through what clashes are and what they currently do and don’t do at the beginnign to give players an idea of what you’re talking about, and mention your best examples, like the metal one, poison, and water one ( maybe the light one).
it’s a cool idea the main worry i have is it being a lag generator, i’m sure it could be added properly into the game though.
