The “gameplay” in question:
Most of the choices for the voting is terrible but the choices for the predictions are legitimately hard. And there are real stakes for the prediction since the points are used to get ugc (750 points required for all ugc, you also get points for voting).
They put Guts and Blackpowder somewhere but it was in shooter
I don’t think that game’s a shooter
GnB got mentioned twice, the other time in Fighting but other nominees included Blox Fruits and TSB so I don’t think it’s gonna be winning that one
Aside from that almost anything is rigged, here are some of my personal attention points if you care enough to read them
- Voldex was nominated for best studio
Which, if you didn’t know, is a soulless corporation that buys games and turns them into a cashgrab - strategic games included TDS and Dusty Trip
Yeah, really? I expected actual strategy games like Noobs in Combat - Piggy was nominated on horror category
I thought people didn’t play Piggy in 2024 but 41k people would like to convince me otherwise. - I don’t think I know any of the content creators
- all games in the big categories were bullshit
stuff like “most engaging” (not even sure that is a category but something like that) is just full of games like Blox Fruits and Sol’s rng - they made a category for best branded game
that one really set me off because I know for a fact that was just to please their sponsors. I don’t know a single person that played those “branded games”. - you can place bets on who is going to win and it’s the biggest part of the event

Hopefully AO wins an award this time, last year it was in the Most Immersive category, and it lost to Driving Empire, which is completely nonsensical because AO is one of the most immersive games on the platform.
Edit: I have learned that AO has not been nominated. I honestly think that Roblox just really hates promoting games that aren’t pay to win because those games don’t make them as much money.
