The trouble is that it’s always possible to wrongly convict someone, especially with all the rhetoric the far right spews about gay people being pedophiles and whatnot.
And while you say “beyond any shadow of a doubt” the problem is that either you have to wait for that, meaning there will never be an execution because you can’t prove it that hard or there will be innocent people executed for being wrongfully convicted

Oh yeah that’s definitely a problem, but ruben sim doesn’t go out with a stupid outfit to beat up a predator, he creates videos raising awareness about them, if he cared about making them a spectacle he’d do the same formula all the other “pred hunting” channels do and go about, find a guy, beat him up, but never actually contact the police, it’s good he brings attention to it.
He literally made his own list of people in inappropriate servers, which would require programming, time and effort and made his own team, if he only cared about attention he wouldn’t go for that effort, and if he did even then he’s still doing a good thing by creating those lists.

You missed the point of what Schlep accomplished. He actually managed to bring this problem out into the mainstream and managed to tank their stock prices as well.
Also if you do a job then you have to do it right. And you actually do have to trust the people who are actually competent at their jobs over the ones who aren’t.
