It depends on the day ngl, sometimes I feel like it and sometimes I don’t. I have noticed that almost all my ocs wear at least an eyepatch which is, erm… Concerning to realize but you were wrong about the first assumption it was only one character 
I don’t really enjoy drawing eyes so sometimes I just take the easier route, I’ve never had that phase where I only draw eyes because I don’t see why I would. It doesn’t look that good in my art style, at least in my opinion
