Hello! I’m a leaderboard clan owner (Neptune) and this post really interested me, so I’m going to give it a read.
I believe it has done the exact opposite for all the following reasons.
- Infamy gain from hunting was lowered by 75%.
- You’re able to unclaim your own island whilst it’s contested and not lose Infamy (probably not intended but I’m sure it’d help out people like you).
Even in a clan like Neptune, which is a 20 man clan which used to mostly just PvP, we’ve done a total of 0 PvP events in Elysiums because we’re enjoying other aspects of the update, such as grinding for the new lost items, capturing shieldguard, building new structures & finding hecate essences, to just touch on the surface.
This update has made PvP players want to PvE to get the most out of Arcane Odyssey.
Don’t claim an island if you’re this incapable of defending your claim over it.
Ever considered hopping servers, or not being in a clan (which makes you a target for ganks not just for infamy, but to taunt your clan)? It’s a really useful tool.
I’ve played in both clan and non-clan servers, and there’s a clear divide between the amount of open-world PvP you’ll see in either, yes, you’ll find clan players in either, but the ones you find in the non-clan servers are way more passive from my own experiences.
What’s stopping someone in a clan with 2,000 Infamy from being just as toxic as those you seem to detest so much? It’s about the people not the clan itself in such a scenario.
Isn’t it a shame that you’re able to ignore such comments made towards you? Yes, people online are going to be rude to you, get over it. For all I care you could be the best at AO and you’ll still have people say these exact same words to you, toughen up please.
Or maybe you got a bit too predictable after “holding them off for about an hour”, if that’s what you want to call what I presume to be running.
Even if these people were on this site, would they even remember you?
Complete other way around, it just sounds like you haven’t put yourself forward in the clan community nor the pvp community, so your only perception is people you’ve met in-game, as @Waping rightfully stated in his first reply, why are you in a clan if you don’t want to interact with the PvP community? You make it very clear that you’re blind to the entire PvP/Clan scene within the game by how ignorant your accusations sound.
It’s only for lower tier structures that you don’t get 100% back I’m pretty sure, and if what I said is the case, then I think this is a problem with you just not possessing enough galleons to make what you aspire to build, which could easily have been fixed by making a farm island.
Clans with this little infamy aren’t even worth hunting because of how little they give, you’re not free infamy you’re just a victim.
All in all, I detest the amount of ignorance you put into this post, and I hope I never have to hear a take from someone like you again on a topic you’re so clearly alien to.
If you want to speak on the correlations between PvP and Clans, the first thing I want to teach you about is that you’d be surprised to hear that you find non-toxic PvP’ers in environments such as Elysium, or in their own clan’s discord server, and yes, you are more likely to find people with more toxic traits in the main game, because you’re not free infamy, you’re an ego boost for people with nothing better to do.
Neptune ontop, have a good day everyone.
