EDIT: To be short, I am unmotivated for building base alone because it takes too much time and effort. Should I give up on base buildling?
Recently I created a new clan for myself alone because I wanted to try building stuff. Not defense efficient castles, more like villages or stuff. At first I wanted to remake Reverville but got disappointed when found out that building was made for mostly Defensive purporses of the Island, not decorative, so I won’t be able to make a hometown for my character :(.
Well if I can’t build a city, I’ll build a fort.
Unfortunately, it takes a lot of energy, time and Drachma. I was trying to follow guides on YouTube but there isn’t much resources (and some are inefficient). Overall I gave up on Blackreach Island and moved to Tidecliff Island.

This time I managed to start building faster than the first time but still it was pretty slow because I was alone meaning I could farm Treasury and gain Infamy (for increased Treasury Max) only off one single Island claimed. And then I found this post on the forum (still don’t understand how I never noticed it before). I am astonished by the work people made (расцеловал бы вас, честно). And now I finally understood what a foolish I was trying to accomplish things alone.

After realising it I have lost motivation to continue. I do not wish to grow my clan by recruiting other players because of my lonely nature. I honestly would have deleted my clan long time ago if it wasn’t that all my bases were saved on Clan save slot, not personal. And so I have no idea what to do now which is why I am asking a question: Should I give up on base building?
Maybe it would be better for me just to join somebody else’s clan that already have pre-made bases. Or maybe I should continue to wander in game alone but without a clan.

dont give up on base building, personally i dont like spending a bunch on bases so i usually stick to tier 2 or 3 where i can, great use of terraforming and decoration as well as making it blend well into the island in a sense that it looks fully natural is a nice feeling and costs way less, btw dont use anything above the cost of a tier 4 keep, unless its a capital island just stick to 1 expensive(ish) attraction
Honestly I just have an afk treasury farm on Cassia, I chill out there until my treasury is full and then go to whatever other island I wanna build on, build until the treasury is empty, then repeat the process
Dunno how well this is gonna work to be clear since I’ve only really just started doing it, and Cassia is fairly popular so you gotta hope nobody tries to take it (or hope you’re good at PvP I guess)
i was a bit disappointed, even making an entire rant thread, but i was able to adapt and build more castle-like structures (even with a small port town on the side)
Yeah I feel your pain, feature’s definitely designed for co-op making it kinda pitiful when you’re solo. To be fair, it’s true the decoration still doesn’t allow for much no matter the funds, but if the former problem’s the main one, I feel like there’s definitely clans out there who want an involved builder, so try to seek these out (maybe even make another post asking for that)
