Alternatively, they could be at war, but the Order would simply fall apart.
High Lord A is also the king of kingdom A and leading a succesful campaign against kingdom B. Meanwhile, he’s also plotting to unleash the ancient power with High Lord B. Then High Lord A gets a decisive victory in the war, king B is captured and executed. Mysteriously, High Lord B also seems to suddenly cut contact.
There simply is no way for an organization to survive in War seas if its members only loosely share one common plan but otherwise have wildly different goals and ideals, and also don’t know anything at all about each other.
vetex could have told us there was an order member in any other sort of way, but he decided to drop it by having this random we never see again tell us
“Ah, did Callahan send you here to get me? I’m afraid I haven’t quite found all I need yet… There must be a clue in these books… Search for something regarding the Mageskin disease, will you?”
Find book on diseases 0/1
Upon finding the book: The Mageskin disease is caused by a poison created from Wraithvine yadda yadda yadda in the past it has been used for blah blah blah rumors also mention the secretive and mystical society called Order of Aesir to have used it, though wether it even existed is up for debate.
The order could have done it themselves without the bad disguises or. Wanna hear my crazy idea? Replace the forsaken with an assassinate syndicate circle in the sky
I never understood why Vetex just didn’t make the Forsaken be behind the assassination
They’re LITERALLY ASSASSINS, WHY WOULD YOU NOT ACTUALLY MAKE THEM ASSASSINATE PEOPLE. VETEX COULD’VE JUST SAID THAT “They were paid by the Order to perform the execution” AND THAT WOULD’VE BEEN GOOD ENOUGH. The Assassin syndicate would have no reason to be up in the sky because they would be too split from all other bases (Plus there already IS an assassin base in Nimbus!). The Forsaken could’ve been used to show a different culture of Assassins in the world. But they were left as this weird yellow Assassin Syndicate that has no aura…
Yeah they feel simply filler at best. Keeping the forsaken role the same I would have made them a circle. A group that went to the sky cause there’s less competition because they’re not that great. The order fakes their disguise then do this assassin attempt publicly and sloppy on purpose to get aggro on the syndicate and not themselves. But we know the syndicates outfits so we explore a bit and find the real circle and it’s revealed they were framed. Instead of introducing this new group then later saying “oh no it wasn’t them” why do I care. Idk these bums
