Instead of just letting them wait out their ban, everytime they get in-game, they’ll get teleported to a random one-player server where there’s only a huge boulder that they need to push on a slope that’s scaled based on their ban time.
How It Works
The formula would be: Ban Time in Hours * 1000 Studs. So for example a 1-day ban would have 24,000 studs that they need to push the huge boulder for.
The requirements for them to get unbanned automatically would need the completion of both the ban time and the length the boulder was pushed for. Meaning if they somehow finished the Sisyphus punishment, they’ll still need to wait out the ban time and vice versa if they wait out the ban time.
In case of exploiters, there would be simple anti-cheat measures in the server. The following would make the huge boulder reset to the start everytime:
The boulder suddenly reaches the end without going through the slope.
The boulder moves faster than when it is being pushed.
The boulder skipped x amount of studs in the slope.
There would also be some uneven terrains on the slope to further make the punishment a challenge to complete. If it’s a permanent ban, then they’re forever trapped in the server pushing the huge boulder.
End Notes
Currently, getting non-permanent bans isn’t that of a threat to anyone trying to break rules, it’s literally just a vacation for them. This would encourage people to not break the rules otherwise they would have to be in the shoes of Sisyphus quite literally.
Funny, but this would be a hassle to make separate servers for. Not to mention it’s likely to just result in temp banned players just straight up leaving the game.
Also, it would be virtually impossible to detect if a player is just putting an object on the W key on their keyboard for and just occasionally tapping W or A. People can and will just download macros to do the “punishment” for them.
Ignorance is not an excuse when breaking rules. At the very least if they don’t want to get banned in any way in online games, start reading the rules
All the bannable offenses are reasonable too which can be found in vetcord’s faq section where the in-game rulebook is linked there. To save you the trouble, here’s the link:
On the other hand, yeah it would probably be a hassle to make but it shouldnt take too much time to make simple codes
Also the sisyphus punishment on your 1st strike isn’t going to be hard to complete since it’s only at 24,000 studs which can be completed in less than an hour, even less than 30 minutes if you did it flawlessly.
It doesn’t really make much sense to make a temporary ban theoretically permanent by making this a requirement for your ban to end, but would work better if it did nothing at all when you finished, as while you are banned, and have a roblox premium subscription, vetex would also get money from people attempting to complete the challenge.
Why are we giving players extra punishment m? It’s literally just going to stop them from playing the game. May I remind you that most people play video games to be lazy. Having them put in effort and time just to relax is mind-bogglingly dumb.
I’m telling you, this will result in most temp-bans effectively becoming permanent-bans. Nobody would want to go through with this. Even worse if the ban was actually false, where the player will have to do this garbage for thirty straight minutes just because they were incorrectly accused or hit by a questionable anti-cheat.
this would have to be for future bans if anything and instead of it having to be served it should just be a joke place they get teleported to when they join
it should just be they get sent to Sisyphus Simulator [BACK FROM SUSPENSION] - Roblox for joining with a ban with nothing to gain or lose by playing it or a sisyphus game vetex makes, and they just get sent there
Because being lenient on punishments isn’t going to discourage them, it would make them think harder on how to not get caught, doesn’t help if it’s just a one day vacation, I mean ban.
One thing that you should know is that people who willingly break rules are more likely to do it again, you can check it out on any websites that publicly shows the records of people that got arrested. These acts are boosted on online games too because guess what anonymity can do to people, they can just create another account and do that again.
If you want arcane oddysey’s examples then there’s Legendarex who quite literally macrofish twice, one on his main and after, on his obvious alt to which got him on his last strike, you know for sure he’ll make an alt that isn’t obviously related to him anymore to macrofish because the first tempban aint gonna stop him nor the second. This guy has 4K hours btw, all because it took a lot of time for someone to catch him macrofishing.
If you want an exploiter then there’s a so-called ao youtuber going by indiangamer something ( Forgot his name but some people probably still remember him as well ) who got mad at mods for banning his accounts when he got caught exploiting. There’s probably more if you ask mods that are willing to tell those information but the examples I’ve given are the notable ones that I know.
You can ask the mods on how likely it is for someone to get falsely banned in the game, it’s less than 1%. Even if an event of false bans occured, multiple people would be affected such as the case with the dark sea anticheat where roblox messed up on their update, people who got banned with this anticheat got unbanned too since they have logs on the bans so there’s really nothing to worry about if you’re a normal player.
Regarding false bans as well, if it’s recreated by someone normally playing the game then that player can get unbanned. Saying the ban was caused by lag aint gonna help either considering there’s ways to limit the bandwidth of your internet to cause lag and if it wasn’t recreated, you know for sure that player isn’t falsely banned.
