Size, Power, and Defense Need Nerfs

I’ve fought mages but I can still bake them, except that one metal mage that jump me on spawn when Im not even max level yet. Bro I dont even have proper gear at that time

Loud incorrect buzzer.
The guy was a wind conjuror that was applying freezing every hit when off cooldown. Think he had a freezing greased sunken sword among other things, which shouldn’t have had so much damn size but it did anyway. The guy’s attacks were literally bigger than my former explosion mage slot, which at the time I had a max attack size build at level 140. Did like 3 times as much damage as me, had almost twice as much health, and his attacks were so massive the only brain cells he needed were the ones for figuring out which direction to spam sword step so he could nuke your ass. Brain dead meta in dire need of major PVP nerfs.

Wind has synergy with freezing that turns it into frozen, so they wouldn’t need the Sunken Sword to proc it.

Oh damn, huh that’s weird but alright.

Guaranteed one or more of their weapons had freezing grease, and since theyre a wind conj, free frozen. Electric grease is also a thing I’ve seen being used.

…nerf Resistance first and then we can talk about these stats.

At least, Size still needs some more nerfs, but Resistance needs to be nerfed.

In its current state, Resistance is very simple: “Whilst charging [and performing] an attack, you have x% damage resistance.” Which is the problem. Unless you deal enough damage to somehow overcome this, use status effects, or have Armor Piercing, anyone with high Resistance and a little bit of Regeneration can completely nullify every aspect of combat outside of grabs.

Now imagine trying to fight that. Again. And again. And again. And again.

People like you are why balancing is this game is cooked. You people want everystat nerfed. First it was attack speed. Then agility got removed. Now size. And power and defense as well? If substats werent originally nerfed this problem wouldnt exist! Have every substat be op instead of just one. Size wouldnt be a problem if attack speed and agility still existed! But no. Pvpcels must nerf everything to the ground. Well! Now most substats are useless above 100. We have wom meta again! Every build is functionally the same power/defence stacking gear. Build variety is in the ground because people insist every stat be nerfed. If you have pvp on, dont be prepared for fair fights. Cry about it. Pvp in this game is inherently unfair. If you want fairness play chess.

I swear I rather have everything op than scuffed.

Though, I kinda happy they remove agility cuz someone gonna just use it to run like crazy. As sad and bad as this sound, removing Agility dont seem like a bad course of action if you ask me.

BUT SPLITTING ATTACK SPEED IS STUPID. Dude wdym I need two different stats for almost same thing:sob:

Just add another kind of stats bro

Technically, attack speed covers how fast you do something - M1’s, skills, stuff like that.
Haste is the recovery period of those actions - so the time it takes for a spell or skill to be used again.

I can understand the complaint about splitting the two, but it otherwise is pretty easy to construct builds around rather than have a “one stat does all” kind of situation.

You could use lost knowledges faster, or you could beat someone up at mach 3.

Really depends on how you see how the Dexterity/Haste rework of Agility, and… I guess how it feels to you?

…though yeah, I don’t think I’ve experienced Agility, since I joined at the tail end of Early Access, and here I am, wondering: HOW BAD WAS AGILITY AGAIN

Oh my god.

it wasn’t that bad but fundamentally flawed because you could choose to be inferior in a fight for extra speed or choose better stats but in exchange cant catch anyone if they run

A bit off topic but what’s considered good armor sets right now? I’m still using the carina gear I got on day 1 and am beginning to wonder if I’m behind.

sophragos, warrior of gold (good upgrade to cernyx and when compared to SW it has slightly less defense but more atk speed), sunken, modified arcmancer, modified oracle armor

are the base modifiers such as crystalline and blasted still viable when compared with the new ones?

yeah, if ur talking about tower modified gear they’re pretty much the same
for imbued modifier though it can usually give more but it depends on the gear due to the way it works (imbued fair power amulet has like an extra 2 power compared to blasted)
not worth the trouble for 2 extra power tbh

Agility is a fckinng menace when mixed with attack size. I learn hard way. Kinda glad they remove it even after pvp toggle

“SPIRIT BOMB!” ahh move

Did someone say spirit bomb?

I forgot that spirit magic would legit allow that sort move!
