OMG hi alt account
the only reason I suggested magma and ice being different in that regard is because ice/obsidian platforms do have utility.
i didn’t meant magma in that one
I know, I was explaining why those two are exceptions to just passing straight through the water.
the steam cloud has little to no utility and is worth less than a direct impact 99/100 times.
Maybe specific magicks shouldnt work underwater? But certainly strength and weapons should. This give a benefit to running a hybrid build, like if im a heat based warlock. Just use my fighting style over my magic and I can at least defend myself.
we need all magics to work underwater. in AA fire worked underwater, it just shrunk overtime in the case of blasts
Iirc sea creatures also take more damage from lightning attacks(sadly does not apply to the swivel gun for some stupid reason, I’m a conjurer and harpoon gun does more damage for me), because sharks are supposed to have like 50% DR to normal attacks that don’t come from ship attachments, but I’m pretty sure I still do 200+ damage to them with a basic magic blast.
Yes we really need all magices to be useable underwater. My Magma Fire mage cant fight sharks or kill Jellyfish so some Potion and Jewlcraft items are basicly locked for me. Realism can be nice at some points but here it just hinders players to particapate in content. Espiecially magma when used underwater can just fling u sometimes. If there will be more underwater content and at somepoint quests that require u to be underwater all Heat based mages will be at a huge disatvantage. 9/10 suggestion
fr, i had to switch from fire explosion to fire ash just to get access to brews
