Yeah true it’s more of a burst movement tool. I don’t disagree but you have to use grab, crash, ect to pursue, where other games have one tool do many(or too many) things at once(walling, if followed by a dash, pursuit with long lasting hitbox, counter poking for space control, ect). And the dash in GG makes basically everything have the ability to be fluid, helps give player a feeling of control. The more things you can do “safely” the more things you can do in general, but also have riskier options for when you need to, which lets the risky options do more in comparison to the already useful “safe” moves. I can use dash-cancelled 6S, a long lasting, long ranged move that is generally somewhat safe(I lose some advantage tho if blocked too closely, has a bit of startup meaning I can get hit for trying it), while going forward, as opposed to being forced to use Night Raid Vortex and Bandit Revolver, which are generally unsafe burst movement tools, with Night Raid Vortex in particular being used as a hard callout with frankly terrifying reward when optimized.
I don’t disagree and you are right though, so there’s that. Just that the nature of the skills in AO limit what you can do with it. (Which is a design choice, can be good, even if some people don’t prefer it)
For AO the most I can think of for player choice is holding /charging an attack which is an interesting decision in its own right, and cancelling upward momentum by using a skill immediately after a high jump or something.

I honestly didn’t know how much you guys would correct me. Most of my comments were exaggerated by if your still annoyed at me that’s fine. I rather be commented on by the AO community than have no reply.
