Studio Builds: Unofficial Dark Sea Structures

,

Hello this is a nit of a random question but in the main post, you cam see an image of the blood waterfall thing. Is that what it actually looks like in game without the dark sea shaders. Also another random question, is the blood fountajns ment to spawn a shit ton of thornflowers

Edit: ive looked back and it was the ancient alter i was looking at

  1. No, the version in The Dark Sea looks different since Vetex edited it.

  2. Not sure.

I think the Dark Sea should be instanced to allow for larger, more detailed structures to exist as spawnable structures.

Yeah that would be good

This is what I’m saying. Even the variety we have now gets stale because its all the same size. And it all spawns on these strange coblestones which can make very funny looking generation.

We need larger structures of greater variety to spice up the randomized islands. I think we talked about this before but you considered the structures we have now like a 1x1 on a grid, then having structures for 2x2, 3x3, 1x2, etc would not only offer more build potential but make exploring islands more interesting. Maybe limit the bigger structures to deeper in since those islands tend to be gargantuan and featureless anyway.

Wdym does your culture not build a house on a 300 meter foundation?

All of the builds are so cool!
Also how did the navy commodore who was siting in the chair die? It would take something strong to just kill them.

This is mental how vetex turned down some of these builds because it doesnt meet a theme or was “too detailed”. Like bro you cant even build half of these :expressionless: great work nonetheless

The only way for an idiot to look smart is if they’re surrounded by bigger idiots.
The only way Vetex’s builds can look decent is if they’re surrounded by watered-down builds.

I agree that it wouldn’t fit, as the random-generated islands in the dark sea are quite bland, empty, and lack handcrafted detail.

Adding stuff like some of the structures I made would feel out of place. Even though the idea seemed cool initially, I’ve come to accept them not being used for maintaining immersion and aesthetics.

This feels like one of those situations where I wanted it in the game, but if it were implemented, I’d realize it doesn’t work.
