Suggest a new feature for the game that will instantly make you Public Enemy #1

I’ll be entirely honest here—I don’t see this place as the “bad ideas” thread, I see it as “these are probably stupid, but some of them should be given a shot” thread.

Thirst bar where you have to drink water/smoothies,but the easiest way to get drinking water is by scooping up seawater with a special tool that only trader ships sell. This water then has to be filtered (30 seconds is the base for regular bronze sea water) in the dark sea, water takes 2 minutes to filter because of all the magic pollution

If a ship sharing name with either of the seas is sunk, all of the servers get their parts unanchored and everything outside the Dark Sea falls into the void

i saw you typing this a minute ago brochacho

You can only hit targets you can physically see otherwise they become immortal gods who can still hit you

Tornados now can pick up cargo/sealed chests from the deck of your ship. This also applies to gunpowder barrels, and when gunpowder barrels are picked up they can hit your ship and blow up.

So?

big brother is always watching :eyes:

Which reminds me, this has got to go into FRUPN

add line of sight to all npcs so the player will be forced to combat directly and no more cheesing

eHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Magic T-jump that can be used in the air

hm, sounds pretty interesting but maybe strength builds should also be able to

Its literally just magic reflex like we have now but for t jumps

are you sure this isn’t just magic leap

No, magic leap is slow as fuck, and to make the game worse retcon it, replace it with a new spell and make it so you can press T in air after completing the dodge reflex quest to make a vertical dodge reflex

M1s no longer exist for any class— but they’re replaced by an “aim” ability:

  • Using it on the ground condenses your ability and makes it a bit stronger (it will also pierce terrain as to not clip into the floor).

  • Using it in the air causes you to fall slower, this will slowly get weaker over time.

  • You can use it in the air next to a wall, which will latch you onto it, restoring all your air movement and reflex charges. You will fall off the wall after some time, but this also recharges stamina.

You can jump off any solid object, for example solid magic reflex walls, or debris.

these are supposed to be bad

  1. secretly roll out a new thing that has a 0.25% chance to make one singular person experience paranormal things upon creation of their first file, targetting gen 1 and 6 most commonly. this includes:
  • random name changing of NPCs
  • some magics are named different things (wind —> air)
  • storyline characters contradicting themselves more often
  • extreme weather that does nothing and only appears to the player
  • inaccurate questline markers
  • question marks do not appear over certain quest npcs like arish vista
  • unable to choose the name of your ship, instead mimicing another’s upon file creation
  • colours of bars are slightly paler
  • tutorial quests no longer give you resources to complete the quest
  • jewelcrafting will always give you maximum t1 reagent substats and minimum t2 reagent substats unless you have luck 4/5 in which case it inverts
  • profession exp has no numbers and is instead just a linear bar
  • clouds over islands on the maps only progressively fade akin to minecraft maps
  • castaways sometimes ask to go to non-town places, most commonly Akursius Keep or Blasted Rock
  • the fishing minigame requires either half or double the amount of clicks
  • guard npcs may randomly attempt to attack you for being ‘cursed’
  • forced to go down the ruthless route
  • name swap of storyline npcs (morden —> neviro, etc)
  • a permanent insanity 0.5 of sorts that causes a shadow figure to appear once an hour behind your back
  • cannot see how much insanity or warding you have
  • prices of items from merchants may vary from ~-5% to +10%
  • much more

and to finish off: upon awakening, the game either resets to its former self after a screen flashbang and the player gets very confused, questioning their entire existence and quitting the game upon fear that they have been haunted or their character ‘dies,’ meaning that their appearance is now randomised and npcs may ask who the hell they are (eg. empress nilah), but ultimately the story continues; causes further confusion if this happens

I want to say “remove Ormolu” as a joke, but I feel like if I even dare to mutter those words in even an unserious manner, CrimsonPants will send ten whole assassins after me.
