rolling on any angled surface will now force you to roll to the bottom, or use a substantial amount of stamina to jump off.

Make it so tornadoes can only spawn within 100 studs of your character or your ship

Getting hit by a dev magic gives terminal magic cancer status to ur character that can only be removed using moly 2, found exclusively in the epicenter with 1/420 chance of spawning

dropping gunpowder barrels from a sufficient height WON’T detonate them. but they now WILL detonate if you charge energy next to them.

you can now add taunts to ability names that are said before or after using them.

Mages can use arcanium weapons better than conjurers. (It’s lore accurate than anything other than mage is there only to further glaze magic energy)

Add a new system for getting boss drops called Challenges. It would work as follows:

The boss no longer just respawns. Instead, you can walk up to the place where they used to be, where you’ll find the Challenge Menu of that boss. Here, all of the bosses’s drops will be listed, along will a series of challenges you can select. Using Calvus as an example, some challenges would be as follows:

  • Calvus uses his Annihilation beam more often, and it takes half as long to charge. He’ll also try to break the player’s line of sight before beginning it.
  • Calvus begins the fight by impaling the player, instead of Neviro, causing them to bleed heavily, reducing their max HP and regen by 33%.
  • The two centurions from outside the Castello are added to the fight, albeit slightly nerfed.
  • After a minute and a half, Calvus will charge an uninterruptible Annihilation beam which cannot be blocked. Best defeat him quickly.

In addition, the player will always be dropped to the level that they fought the boss at, with their armor stats adjusting accordingly. They can still use items and spells from higher levels, as otherwise, players could find themselves locked out of much of their moveset.

After each successful attempt at the boss, the player can select one of the boss’s drops, obtaining that item. The only caveat is that the player has to choose a different challenge next time to obtain anything, preventing them from mastering just one to farm.

Additionally, once the player has obtained all of the boss’s drops, the boss will gain a +15% to their health and damage in all future challenges. This doesn’t stack, it just means that farming them for the purpose of selling stuff will require some amount of skill, but no longer requires RNG.

This is supposed to be the dogshit suggestion post, not the actually good suggestion post.

I’ve been using this post for making good suggestions for a long time now, tbh. Only reason I don’t bother suggesting them is because I know sure as hell Vetex will never add them.

Brother, go make actual suggestions that people can upvote.
We all know the game needs them more than ever.

I know what you just said, but enough people saying it might persuade him to do something, might not be the suggestion, but at least something.

I’ve effectively given up on AO, I only suggest stuff because I’m bored and like writing these ideas out. And, again, Vetex probably doesn’t even check the forums’ suggestions anymore.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the case. Otherwise we wouldn’t have Water Poisoning, dirt accumulation, player jailing, and we would’ve had the PVP toggle a lot sooner. That last one probably only happened because Vetex was trying to cycle in a new audience to AO after it was clear the the old one was leaving.

Yeah… fair enough.

I’ve seen him a grand total of 1 time on the forum when he was online, but that was it, no other time. It’s quite depressing.

proceeds to over level before doing the quest line so my level becomes twice the recommended

Sorry, meant the level you should have fought the boss at. Which for Calvus is level 110 or so.

taking massive damage in a short period of time can now also un-level a part of your loadout at random.

Everytime youre about to get a new ship, its level requirement raises by (your level +1) which ends at lvl 1000 (where you can FINALLY buy the sailboat)

there are now dark sea islands made up entirely of unoptimized piles of ruined ships.
