The EPFC news

It is currently Continuation 287 in the experimental version and some new equipment and changes has been added.

The credential skimmer has been added and it allows players to install it into keycard readers and upon a npc using the keycard scanner it’ll copy the credentials for that keycard, this allows players to install it onto the keycard scanner in the deposit’s camera room allowing you to get a level 2 keycard credential upon the security lead entering the room. Please note that the credential skimmer requires rank 1 of the electrical engineering perk to bring it to a mission.

The blank keycard and blank RFID card has been added allowing players to bring blank ones to missions to copy the credentials onto.

We now have a new tab called “Tech” in the loadout menu that splits the electrical technology from the tools section, so drills, saws, lockpick kits and so on are in the tool section, the hacking tablet, credential related items and the rewire kit are in the tech section.

We have breaking news from our reporter, the credential writer, skimmer, and blank keycard and RFID cards cannot be detected by a level 3 metal detector, which is currently the most advanced metal detector that doesn’t detect the player specifically (level 4 metal detectors set off the alarm if the player passes through them regardless of what they have in their inventory), so rest assured that these devices can be smuggled past some of the most sensitive metal detectors in the world.

You can also say screw it to finding the 2nd cash control card and use the rewriter on the blank keycard to get the 2nd one.

Yeah bringing a blank RFID card makes the mission easier by a fair amount, since with advanced protocols 1 you can just use the admin computer that requires the usb to get the credentials and then you have two blank cards and the credentials ready.

I should mention that the credential skimmer can’t be deployed on the keycard readers in the scientist currently.

According to the wiki you can just look at the rails without finding the book but is that bugged or something?

It was actually removed, as in the interaction to move the shelf without the book.

Just remember that there’s three spawns on the south side, one on the bedside drawer near the door and mirror, one on a coffee table in between the large shelves and the glass window, and one on the crates next to either the armoury or basement door.

There’s another three in the Northside of the house, one next to the door leading to either the photo room or mission planner room, one next to the network switch and door that leads to the small room with a vent cover leading to the basement, and the last one is on a cabinet next to a boofshelf near the stairwell leading to the garage or the power box inside the house.

And remember that there’s one spawn for the camera room, one for the mission planner room, and one for the photo room.

Some more news are in, now the new items have been added to the contact network in the experimental version and the brick has now been added as an item that you can bring upon unlocking it in the contact nework.

There is something extremely funny about needing a contact to supply you with bricks

you can argue a criminal organization isn’t going to be supplying you bricks half the time, you might as well bluff to a civillian organization about why you need bricks

Anyways unrelated but I hate the material culling thing that roblox can sometimes do that you can’t undo in a game. I see this alot in experimental where some crates straight up do not load / are invisible, and every material in the game looks weird and janky

BREAKING NEWS: In the experimental version of EP:FC we now have a test specialisation that requires you to have remote access 3 and triangulation 3, upon equipping the specialisation you and your whole team in a mission will unlock it’s benefits, currently the only one we can use currently is called “network tech” which upgrades the pineapple allowing it to be used on walls and it can directly compromise computers connected to access points, and triangulation 3 now reveals these computers automatically.

Btw I just wanted to ask anyone who wants to see more posts about updates to EP:FC if I should keep using this post, or if I should make a new one for each update that isn’t incredibly minor.

More news, the enforcer and chameleon specialisations have been added to the experimental version, enforcer makes it so that hostages take longer to fight back or flee, and any other members of your team who doesn’t have intimidation 3 now get 1 rank for free, the requirements are: intimidation 3 and brute strength 3.

The chameleon grants inconspicuous 2, discretion 6, and masquerade 6 to anyone on your team who doesn’t have them, this is potentially one of the most powerful specialisations currently, the requirements are social engineering 3 and inconspicuous 3.
