the polls and what the balance team said suggest the opossite
i mean i wasnt opossed to a big nerf, in balancecord i was pretty vocal about one nerf in particular that was suggested, also it still bothers me how people bring this up like i didnt express my love for reflexes in pve/exploration

no one’s gonna adapt because they’ll entirely stop using breathing
[/quote] that is literally adapting
dude switching to a different build because your old build isn’t as optimized/doesn’t work as well because of a balance update is adapting you cannot argue that
adapting to what? ur point is that people not using water breathing is adapting, that not adapting, if it was there would be a work around or a new strat with the new nerf
see it like this:
man has 100% breathing build and maximum swim speed he could get
uh oh balance team nerfed breathing!
man switches his build from breathing to just full on maximum swim speed and using t3 breathing pots
if your point is that the balance update was unnecessary than my point is that it would be better to get over it, adapt to the meta, and win
k fine, this is a good way, at this point just do t5 for infinity water breathing (Which imo makes this whole nerf useless)
why even dedicate time on something unnecessary other to be a pain in the ass for a specific player group, given i dont think that their intent but that the effect
The efficiency of the water breathing jewel effect was meant to be doubled with that fix, so I went ahead to include it.
Everything else: I value my time and energy more now than arguing the same points for the 30th time. I would rather let that energy go in genuinely improving the game’s balance than pointlessly trying to convince people that some unpopular balance changes/bug fixes are a net benefit to the game, when they often haven’t seen the full context nor reasoning for the changes themselves.
Also, I generally don’t get why people want PvE content to be completely trivialized like that (e.g. abyssal structures).
and the full context? its just that, u can no longer lose air when u have 100% air capacity, what does this achieve other than being an annoyance and pain to deal with?
there is no TU thing that u guys need to keep it secret and not leak it like reflexes were
Yeah, and it is a bug that it works the way and not what vetex intended; even he himself reported it a while ago but never got around to fixing it due to other more major bugs at the time. I don’t know why we should condone bug abuse and not try getting them fixed, especially when content is getting added that that bug would end up trivializing?
well in this case the bug haves the effect of a nice QoL, the only reasons that water breathing gems are used are for running away (Which this bug fix wont fix) or doing diving spots, since u can get t5 water breathing pots and i would argue that 100% air capacity not draining any air makes sense as well as it improves a expirence and its such a minor thing that helps a terrible substat that it should become a feature in-game
Nah thats a ridiculous take. Not only would that buff likely take months to get added, it would also buff a mechanic that shouldve never been nerfed to begin with. It is not unbalanced and actively improves the diving experience tremendously. It by NO means needs to go
