THE OFFICIAL SKILL NOTE COMPATABILITY CHART (Tester Info)

I may have a severe skill issue, but y’all are hitting Crushing Judgement? It feels like a glorified Spiraling Fury, which is already stupidly hard to hit for some reason.

they didn’t even give tridents piercing gale bro

what the fuck is this update :skull:

I wouldn’t call it a “good” start by any means but at least it’s something :fr:

(please put beast instinct on katanas :grinning:)

And you got in a long ass argument with me about how op it would be

at the time I thought weapon customization was something completely different

but this is just sad

this is literally the PS5 of arcane odyssey updates

where are the weapon skills??? where is the customization???

that disastrous willy wonka convention in Glasgow had more than this :sob:

u couldve just gotten nothing and be left with how weapons were before

not trying to disprove your point, but im trying to say that at least yall actually got weapon customisation in the first place

That comeback doesn’t work when the polls before any of this were voting for spirit weapon content by a landslide

in fact I don’t think anyone would care if this wasn’t added in favor of vitality stuff finally being added in before this.

maybe vitality skill transferring will be more varied than this though

inb4 spirit weapons have 10x the skill compatibility when compared to regular weapons

I read this topic a little bit, and I do agree with:

  • Beast Instinct being usable on katanas/light bladed/bladed since they’re light enough for it to make sense and as someone pointed earlier, General Argos did use it with the Devourer.

  • Rapiers/Lances using Sparrow Thrust - it makes sense - however, you’ll find out why it’s not possible for now.

  • Power/Piercing Shot on guns - it makes sense (2) - however, you’ll find out why it might not be possible for now.

  • Piercing Gale on Rapiers is something I’ve also wanted for the Lance of Loyalty too ever since it was added to give some ranged options to Warlords as well, but maybe it’s not fitting as it is for now?

Some explanations:

  • Animation consistency: Thrusting/Colossal Thrusting weapons are right handed, and Sparrow Thrust is left handed; the animations have to be the same for it to be considered proper; this also applies to Piercing/Power Shot (one is a two-handed stance and the other is holding two guns).

  • Making sense: For example, Axe Throw on greataxes, despite how cool it might sound, also sounds like a weapon skill that would surely require Strength (well, throwing a greataxe you have to hold with two hands would require some strength); I don’t think it’s unlikely for vetex to consider doing this thing in the future, same for ‘solving’ animation inconsistencies.

  • Some skills need blades to work: Spiraling Fury and Flying Phoenix are an example that vetex told us Testers about (though this may also fall in the making sense category too).

Shields and Bows don’t look like they can use much to begin with from the current skills poll…

Also we’re still missing on many weapon skills so in the future we’ll be able to see more freedom in customisation (but that’s obvious).

tl;dr technical/logical limitations for certain weapon skills/types.

why can’t you just tell us directly why it doesn’t work tho

I… said that right below that section?

how is piercing shot on a gun hard to make animation wise

just make the gun shoot the projectile :skull:

same thing with sparrow thrust on rapiers

I don’t really understand how it’s hard to move a model from one hand to another

as far as i know if the animation needs to be edited then no

WELLL WELLLL WELLL, Hello old friend

Who is this man?

Yea, it’s easy enough to hit when ppl are in the air

Plus it’s main feature is mobility and it’s more reliable than spiraling fury in that regard imo since you need to look at ppl for it to work

?
