I mean, you can kinda do that with full mage… Kinda
animations. that is the problem. they don’t magically appear, so since they don’t mix, someone has to make a new animation for that weapon to use that skill
I, and probably most of the community, wouldnt mind to have it release as is, and have the new animations be added as time goes on…
Like, i dont see a problem, specially with a game that is still in-dev and in early access, to have problems like mismatched animations for a while if that meant we could have more customization. And i dont even mean for the sake of meta or anything, i just think it would be better for both immersion and character creation…

God, the Dense meta is so pervasive…
(Not that I’m immune to it, my Lightning Conj has Dense Scimitars of Storm).

And striking gale might be better than mountain wind
I run a similar build with those weapons, except I use a greatsword with raging impact, striking gale and whirlwind

No mobility grab/spiraling fury = gankable
this is a very bad loadout but not for the reason you might think.
Basically, you can have every single one of these moves with only 130 weapons. You just have to swap your 60 wep moves to the first and second slots, so that they don’t have increased requirements. Then you can have aura, javelin, higher tiered spells, and some lesser things such as snare animation with 150 magic
not sparrow thrust and flying phoenix
you can keep flying Phoenix on samerian sword because it’s just a reskinned Ravenna sword, and you can keep sparrow thrust on an old spear and it will function the exact same
doesn’t the lower tier sword only have 3 skill slots? and you cannot use spears on fast conj until empires since speed scaling is inversed. additionally old spear has also little room for skills
they only have 3 skills by default, I believe they can slot 5 though
either way you still give up rising tide and spears are unusable on fast conj

Nope. Average-quality stuff can only socket the same amount of skills that they have by default. I tried getting five skills on my Iron Greatsword the day Weapon Customization dropped, but didn’t realize that its quality wasn’t high enough. Same deal with Poor weapons, but with two slots instead of three.
you keep rising tide as it only costs 100 weapons and you can just put it on an e slot. If he moves flash strike and rising tide to the third and fourth slot, then he can have any 60 wep skill requirement in the first two (so he can keep flying slash and shining cycle). If he doesent run spear then he can still have 3 skills on any iron weapon, or substitute it for something such as sanguine where he can still have 4 usable skills.
if you go with a different sword like you suggested you will lose rising tide. if you’re talking about optimizing ssword there then that makes sense ig
