Except at that higher skill level its still only reaching where the other one does with less effort.
absolutely not, size aids people with poor aim but if you can aim well speed is much better. given how the people who can aim likely have the skill to maintain heat, that makes thermo a much better option than sailor
Remove Thermo DoT, increase base damage.
A style based around hitting a lot doesnât need an aid for when you canât hit people.
Rare w stocksounds opinion
I canât wait for 0.5x damage affinity Thermo Fist in 2025.
Magics already have lost all of their identity and fighting styles are the next on the chopping block.
Dear balance team;
You should ping
Uhhh pilles I guess since they arenât a mod (or dm them)
Wait hold on I can imagine the counter argument now
âWe are doing that, thermo is a style focused on low damage with high speedâ
While completely ignoring thermos ACTUAL downside, being low size
ya, low size, mhm, only if there was this thing called aiming, thermo is unbalance, that a fact
Yes, but clearly damage nerfs donât solve that
Also just because a gimmick is bad, being the whole source of the issue here, doesnât mean itâs not the gimmick
thermo is a dps machine, it shouldnt deal as much dmg as it deals, imagine if light, like any light class, would deal 230 dmg as their normal damage per attack, on top of that, make it easy to do combos
Yes, but theyâve always nerfed damage, and supposedly thermos been perpetually op
I think thermo would fit the niche of âhigh damage, extremely hard to hitâ quite nicely, just make it so that heat increases when you HIT opponents instead of just when you do moves
that the exact problem most FS have, heavy hiters, i would say the ones that deal the most dmg already are somewhat easy to land, atleast easier than the rest of their moveset, a class with 2.2K hp without focuse, shouldnt deal 250 dmg as his weakest dmg, in thermo case, sure maybe they deal like 220 dmg, but that doesnt make it better when they can chain attacks on u extremely fas
pretty sure basic was meant to deal more damage than most fighting styles
the issue of this is that once the dedicated people get really cracked, theyâre literally unbeatable unless you use it as well, which is when pvp gets even less fun and even harder to get into.
Parrying:
Also true, but like, thatâs true for basically every other thing in the game
yeah but everything except for like piercing shot (which already suffers a bit from this issue) is balanced around everything else, so the issue doesnât arise
Well I still think if they wanna nerf it, they should do so to the dot
