Question Of The Day Is…
What Would You Do If You Fought The Player?
as in if you were part of Aesir or Greenwish
Don’t hold back at all causing me to have a single phase
“Hey, isn’t that the person that has taken down a few of these big figures around the war seas?”
Realistically though, i ain’t fighting em, might try and make a building collapse ontop of them by blowing up the foundation of the building with barrels
I make it so there’s glaciers melting in the dead of the night and the superstar’s sucked into the supermassive (epic guitar riff SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE)
Okay all jokes aside I probably just cower so I get a quick and painless death
Die
get my ass whooped
TL;DR: run as soon as there's a chance
The warm winds of Masada blew across him, providing an extra blanket of heat on top of the already temperate climate Sameria boasted. Beads of sweat formed at across his face as he walked the path to Caitara, a sensation uncommon to him beyond the scorching heat of combat. With the Grand Navy having the bounty out for his arrest, being down here was a risk he shouldn’t be taking. Yet the gems he needed weren’t present anywhere in the Nimbus Lands, despite their otherwise vibrant catalogue of magical resources.
He sensed it before he saw it - a sharp buildup of magic energy in front of him, forming a light blue circle. Out of instinct, he raised his arms across his face, magic energy expanding out from his body to shield him from the effects of the attack. Moments after, lightning shot out in every direction from the circle. While a few stray bolts struck him, a majority of the harm was cushioned by his aura, with only a singular new scorch mark on his gauntlet.
Before he could move his arms to conjure a spell in response to the unknown assailant, a second blast of lightning hit the same spot. While none shot out at him like the first, waves of magic energy emanated off the impact. Anyone with the ability to sense would immediately take note of such magical power - that which could rival a curse’s. The strike shot up dust, more than enough to mask the hunter. That’s the only person this could be - some bounty hunter, come to turn him in to the Grand Navy.
His legs sprang into action without thought, dashing back to make distance. A large magic circle manifested on his back, spreading searing plasma across his body. For most, such would burn them to a crisp. For him, it merely provided extra cushioning from any blows he may take - magical or otherwise. In each palm, more magic circles were conjured. Explosion in his left, Plasma in his right. A lance of Plasma grew in his right while an unstable, repeating explosion began in his left.
The smoke cleared, revealing a man in red robes. His face was shrouded with a white cloth, however his striking blue hair was more than enough to give away his identity. Felix had heard about him through the Skyhall Times - this was the one who destroyed Fort Talos, who killed King Calvus. No words needed to be exchanged. This was not a fight he could take. He needed an out.
His head flicked from side to side - where could he go? He couldn’t scale a mountain to escape, running back needed some form of cover from attacks, and his magic couldn’t operate underwater. Before he could think of a meaningful plan, a blast of lightning was heading straight for him. He conjured a thick jet of plasma to dodge the attack, tossing the lance of plasma towards the Kingslayer. The Kingslayer responded in kind, a burst of… something blasting them out of the way. The Lance embedded itself in a tree, shrinking before shooting out a wide cone of Plasma - just enough to scorch the back of the Kingslayer. The red fabric ignited into flame, prompting the Kingslayer to bolt towards the water nearby.
Without waiting a moment, Felix released the explosion in his palm, sending him flying up into the air. He conjured wings of Plasma to fly him higher, all in an effort to escape the Kingslayer. There was no telling how relentless he’d be - if he’d break the chase or pursue into the sky. Whatever the case, distance was his friend. He had the energy to make it back to Windcrest, he always made sure he did whenever he took short excursions to the sea.
(sorry for the writing being below my average quality, wasnt sure where to go with it)
I know it doesn’t align with the Aesir/Greenwish part, however my main OC would certainly be someone that the Player would hunt - causing the destruction of an entire village is probably worse than what Shura did.
Pray. And I’m an atheist.
You better pray like a mortal before getting smitten like a god
the magic one
die, probably
Depends on if I’m just a lowly cultist or someone on the level of Cernyx, probably die in a few seconds if the former and maybe stall them for a couple minutes if the latter
Lore approach:
- Vanishing Warlord with Guns, a bullet to the head instakills anyone, even the Peacekeeper. Keep using the Invisibility to move between points of cover. (I’ll still die because plot armor but it’d make a really interesting part for the book)
In-game approach:
-
hide a lot of gunpowder barrels somewhere and use a beam right when they stand on the trap
-
use agility and dodge annoyingly in an effort to try and lure them on to it, also airstall a lot as most NPCs don’t do this so it’ll be jarring
-
Hide behind walls and try to abuse the Line of Sight mechanic
-
Spam gun attacks, they’re the absolute worst to deal with in the hands of an NPC
