how would it be screwed, 1.2k is already really high
Because Vetex doesn’t want the game to be easy.
Then there would be no point in getting more than 1 of the piece and 10 times item value is roughly 2 times enchant value(I think)
But should there be a point in getting a rare item that takes 10+ hours to get several times over, for anything other than being a collector or wanting to make a massive profit?
Why would you want to get more than 1 of the same item? Besides, the current meta builds only involve items that are COMMON. In the long run, normal wizard robes aren’t very rare. For rare items, which you’ll actually be using re-enchanting on, it’s so expensive to enchant them at all that it’s balanced.
cough just don’t scale the stats that shouldn’t scale cough
seriously though, AA managed it fine
And those people are important!
And for most items, they’re not as uncommon as you make them out to be - I consider myself a fairly casual player and I’ve got a perfect set of enchants on my common wizard robes and accessories.
As for perfect sunken gear (or perfect minotaur gear, or perfect exiled gear) - it isn’t necessary, it’s not even good.
It works, some people run it, but the meta build is common wizard gear and amulets - and it’s going to stay that way after the storyline update, and after the guilds update, and certainly after the second magic update.
Rare items with perfect enchants is a completionist/collector’s thing - like a full fishing journal. Getting a maxed fishing journal with every variant (especially when you include northern fish) is a ridiculous, stupid RNG grind but we’re not complaining because it obviously doesn’t matter.
Perfect enchants on rare gear also doesn’t matter. It’s not actual content, it’s not needed to stay meta, and it’s certainly not
The alchemist is a random stat buff for your gear - the average player doesn’t care in the slightest that it’s not the perfect meta build because they probably can’t even afford to upgrade it to their level.
Hence why I think you should still be able to re enchant at 10 times the item value
Sunken swords aren’t common and when the next update releases oathkeeper, wall of Jericho, and Vastira won’t be common
but that’d translate to at least 5 hours of crown grinding though…?
1k per time is already more than enough, considering that you’d likely have to re enchant a few times to get what you want.
??? Enchants rn go at 5 times the item value(I’m pretty sure)
Okay but do you WANT to get multiple sunken swords? That doesn’t really sound fun. It’s already enough work to pay for the enchant. Paying 1.2k per re-enchant is perfectly reasonable for an item like that.
The best gear in the game once the game is completed are probably going to be WAY rarer anyway. Good luck getting multiple of those for a chance at getting the right enchant dude
i’m pretty sure they go for like 2.5x the lowest value or something
10x a sunken item’s value is well over the crown cap
It gives you a reason to get another, while if you’re still too lazy you can re-enchant for 2.4k
Ik, In the future it won’t be
That argument won’t hold up forever though…
At some point in the future having rare+ gear with particular enchantments will be the meta.
It’s just fortunately more of a collectors thing currently.
And comparing it to the fishing journal is a bit of a stretch to be blunt.
The fishing journal is purely a matter of pride, while enchanting gives stats that have an actual effect on gameplay, particularly pvp.
Sorry, turns out that it takes 2.5 times the item value to enchant so just replace me saying 10X with 5X my point still stands
5x would still be a bit much for the stats that enchanting gives. which do matter but not quite enough for that amount of grinding.
It’d still be better than being unable to re enchant though.
It would be a reasonable number because literally nobody would ever try to get the same item again if re-enchanting costed the same as the original enchant
i wouldn’t say nobody.
There are likely going to be quite a few players who would so they could sell them for massive amounts of crowns.
Of course that’d be once we have access to the bank and can actually store that many crowns.
ya know what I’m turning my notifs off for this one, if someone brings up an actual valid reason ping me, I’ve made my points here and I don’t care if this happens or not
