Try to give me a valid reason why re-enchanting shouldn't be a thing

I could agree on dis-enchanting being in the game but re-enchanting probably shouldnt.
Like, imagine you got knockback when you really dont want knockback, then dis-enchanting could be good.
And if Dis-enchanting is in the game but re-enchanting isnt then dis-enchanting wont be that big of a deal

If vetex does implement reenchanting he shouldn’t think of it like a fix. He should treat it like a palliative

It would ruin the grind. Just get a sunken sword and you’ll no longer ever need another. High cost won’t make a difference since crowns aren’t that hard to grind for.

Yeah I meant re-enchanting. I don’t mind dis-enchanting.

makes it harder to get the perfect set

You could always go for an alternative. For example Vetex could add something that makes specific enchants have a slightly higher chance of being those. It doesn’t HAVE to be re-enchanting.

Thing is perfect sets wont really exist in the future when more rarer items are in the game such as (bad example) the exiled’s armor and such.

It’s grindy enough to get even one of those things, and it costs 1.2k to NORMALLY enchant it. Besides, in the future there’s going to be much better, rarer, and way more expensive to enchant items that’ll still be challenging to re-enchant. Instead of slaving for like a week just to get another of the same item just for a chance that’s it’s something you would want to use, it would be way more fun if we could just grind the large amount of money you need to enchant/re-enchant because money can be awarded from many different sources, including quests, which will have many different tasks for you to do. Keep in mind that the Sunken set is just the FIRST line of rare items.

I believe that youre looking at enchantments as an essential thing to make something good when it mostly is just an addition.
you dont have to grind the same items just to get a good enchant.

Well take it like this. Add re-enchanting and make the game even more unbalanced or don’t add re-enchanting and keep the game more balanced. I know it’s unbalanced with the current system, but ti’s better than more. I gave you an example of an alternative, and that’s probably the closest thing Vetex would ever add.

There’s going to be a lot of gear anyway, and “perfect sets” will disappear.

It’s the owner of the item’s choice to use their time on stuff like this. And trust me, there’s a lot of people who like min-maxing their gear.

Elaborate how it would make things unbalanced. All enchantments are supposed to be equal in power.

I’ll have to correct you there. It is kind of essential. Most people will have enchantments on their gear afterwards, and you’ll kinda fall behind.

…If it’s their choice then why would we care if they want to make their life harder on purpose. You don’t need the perfect set, you make yourself think you need it. If you really want the perfect set, grind for it.

Elaborate on how enchantments are essential would you?

It’d make it unbalanced for that exact reason. All the enchantments are not that equal yet. Everyone would re-enchant because they want power/hard. That’s the sole reason.

I’ll just quote Spider on this one

You’ll really fall behind without them in pvp. And when pvp grows further it will be more of an issue. I don’t mean you need the perfect enchantment, but enchantments in general are useful and quite needed. Although that’s my opinion and I can see where you may be coming from.

Thats if you have perfect sets which you said yourself would kind of dissapear in the future, so youve got a point but at the same time not.
