Typ0 horror game thread and stuff

the name of the game is simply:

“the massacre”

the point of the game is to survive 7 days in various locations as each day a new random killer NPC spawns in to hunt players, this stacks up and on the final night there are 7 in total killers or monsters that will chase and torment you until you either die or survive.

here are 2 ideas for monsters I made based on my OCs:

the soulless slasher

“the hunter becomes the hunted tonight… HWAHAHAHAHA!!”

a mysterious man who wears a white mask with no mouth and only 2 black glaring eye sockets, a green hoodie and a red baseball cap.

the SS is very standard in terms of attacking and blindly wanders around the map looking for players to chase for a brief amount of time before giving up or losing sight, at the final night, or on bloodlust mode (extra hard mode for pros) he leaves traps like barbed wire and beartraps and his chases are much faster and longer.

(based on most typical psychos from slasher horror flicks from the 80’s and onwards)

the angel…?

“ẅ̵́͜h̵̪̿ö̸͍́ ̵͉̆ḩ̴̐a̸̛͈v̸̝̈ė̵̘ ̷̨̇y̵̺̽o̴͔̓ȗ̴͖ ̸̮͝r̷͖̉ẹ̷̀a̶̠̚l̸̦͑l̸͔̄y̴͍͗ ̵̥̚b̴̠̏e̵̮̿e̴̙͂ň̴̠ ̵͉̽p̵͕͘r̴̯͊a̷̝̎y̵̢̑i̷̬͋n̴̳̽g̴͍͆ ̶̟̅t̸̺̄o̸̰̐ ̶̻͆t̶̻̎h̷̢̿i̷̺̕s̶̤͐ ̸̽͜w̵̞̄h̵͈͑o̷̝̎l̶̢̉ë̵͎ ̶͚̚ţ̵̈ȉ̸̥m̶̼͒e̶̺̽.̵̳͒.̵̫́.̵̡̿?̶̾͜”

an avian creature with a terrifying uncanny stare and a halo made of liquid static hovering over it’s vantablack body, this silent killer stalks from shadows and uses illusions, player taunts, and complex chasing patterns to take down it’s prey.

he’ll even go invisible occasionally on bloodlust mode or the final 3 nights, but leaves a trail of static liquid that deals damage and blinds if stepped on.

(based on mandela catalogue alternates)

now you give me ideas for killers and their unique gimmicks on how they attack their prey

one hit kill

(appearance and any other gimmick?)

Here’s an idea

The Snatcher

A tall, thin creature with a pale white body, four arms and a face covered by a mask stitched on.

The snatcher is a blind creature that sits on tall areas such as trees or rooftops and relies on sound to find people. When alerted, the snatcher will jump down and try to grab the player. If they fail to grab them, they will chase them down at a fast pace, although he can still be outran.

Ways to deal with the snatcher:

The snatcher will make a heavy breathing noise and be partially visible in the night when he is atop a building or tree. Crouching down and slowly walking while in his vicinity is the best way to deal with him this way.

If you alert him and he is chasing you, you can distract him by creating a loud noise from something such as knocking a crate over and running in the opposite direction.

Worst case scenario, if there is nothing to distract him with and you alert him, run as fast as you can. While the snatcher is fast, you are faster.

On blood moons the snatcher will not fall for distractions, meaning you will be forced to outrun him or avoid encountering him entirely.

oh yeah also

everyone feel free to add WEAPON AND GEAR IDEAS

like defenses or medical equipment maybe heat vision goggles

Here’s ideas for basic items and how their type of item functions:

flashlight - light
The most basic of light items, given to you at the start of the game. This item allows you to see much clearer in front of you by shining a light that takes up battery to use.

Most lighting items take up battery to use, and will have different bar amounts. Batteries will spawn around the map and can be picked up to refill the battery of your item.

Bandages - medical
The most basic medical item, allowing you to heal a small amount of health quickly after being hurt. Three bandage packs are given to you at the start of the game and there can be a maximum of five held.

Medical items are equippable items that let you get the type of item around the map. Different medical items will have a different maximum amount, speed of usage, and healing effect. Some items will only heal hp, while some will give you adrenaline, which would be an armor hp.

bear trap - stunning item
The most basic stunning item which can be placed down that will stun enemies that step in them for a few seconds, allowing you time to run away. This item has a maximum of three holdable, and three are given to you at the start of the game.

Other items is a category that has extra items such as traps and other equipment. Some of these items require batteries to use, while others will have a maximum amount holdable. Two items of the other category can be equipped along with one light item and one medical item.

Items that are under the other items category are:

Tracking items - items that can reveal the locations of enemies nearby or through cameras

Stunning items - items that will stun enemies, either by stepping into them or being close to them, allowing you time to escape.

Distracting items - items which will distract enemies from you, allowing you time to escape from them.

Also this is what the hotbar would be in order

1 - equipped light item
2 - equipped medical items
3 - equipped extra item slot 1
4 - equipped extra item slot 2
5 - batteries

Batteries will also have a limit of 5 held maximum, and when using batteries with multiple battery-using items equipped you will be allowed to choose what items you will have the batteries refilled to. Otherwise, they will only be used for the light item.

lemee pull from my own horror game

Jester
It’s all a game in it’s eyes, a thrilling blood sport, that ends in your death.

When the Jester spots you he will laugh and begin playing a 30 second music box, before teleporting away. Once the music box runs out he will turn partially visible and attempt to kill you.
His location can be discerned with certain items and even when visible, he will still somewhat toy with you, approaching you slowly if your backed into a corner or out of stamina, and teleporting away after every slash. He moves faster and deals more damage then most other monsters, making him extremally dangerous. Also always has a general idea of where you are, making him constantly patrol that section

After 180 seconds, he turns back to invisible mode.

Forces you into two mindsets, when it’s invisible, you want to get as many objectives done as possible, and when it’s visable, you hide or die

Here’s a class idea:

Easter egg class

Very rare monsters that are references to other popular horror games. Their gimmicks will reference that of the entirety of another class while having their own gimmick.

Some monsters for this could be:

Thin tuxedo - slenderman. Uses gimmicks of the lurking class.

Violet violence - William Afton from fnaf. Uses gimmicks of the slasher class.

The scariest monster of all
