Huh? The suggestion as a whole is incredibly flawed because it encompasses like 1-2 magics per badge, as it is written in your suggestion.
And you’re yet to address that in any way.

I think it is fine as it is, it gives players something else to grind for, opens a handful of options to vetex for such content, hell maybe even paid stuff, and harms the game in no way whatsoever.
I already know I wouldn’t use like 90% of the variants I suggested because I don’t even like using most of the magics in the game lol.
who cares if purple fire is “goofy” I’m sure there’s somebody that would love it.
If you’re using a specific magic and you want to keep using it, maybe don’t grind for a different magic’s variant and complain that you didn’t get a variant for your magic lol.
The point is the rewards only matter for a portion of the community, which means it “incentivises” only a fraction of the game base at a time. Even making up variants for half of the current magics + fighting styles would be a time sink.
People will inevitably whine their magic hasn’t gotten a variant yet, or that it’s ugly / too hard to get.
A lot of people would enjoy gacha content being added to the game, does that justify a potential gacha system being added? No.
I’d much rather just get the titles or some vanity items over magic variants most would never use.
fr though i see people deadass defending the fact that some mages cant fight underwater because “logic” as if anything about this game is logical
I remember hearing that we’ll get the ability to “waterproof” our magic in nimbus sea so that’s great.
I’m glad vetex has been slowly but surely getting out of the mindset that lore and immersion matters over literally everything else even to the detriment of gameplay.
(jailtime, heat magics evaporating, changing magic, changing build)
as of now if a beserker or warrior jumps me in water i literally cant do shit because im a sand magma mage and neither of those work underwater lmao, feature cant come soon enough
Not gonna lie, I’m not sure if you cooked for this one (I don’t think you did though). These variants are very specific and for specific magics - a fraction of choices in a class that makes up a fraction of the game (a bigger one but still pretty small as a reward for a hard task).
I don’t know how else to put it, but tacking on a specific reward for a generalized achivement that any player has access and can do feels wrong.
This suggestion doesn’t fix this supposed problem.
It would be better if all titles changed the color of your name, just like True Captain or Epicenter Explorer. (speaking of which, true captain should be buffed to match the difficulty of the other titles)
If this isn’t enough, then all titles should also get an emblem of sorts in your nametag. Epicenter Explorer used to have the insanity eye symbol, and while it was too much, I think it would be cool if it came back but as a 70% transperency symbol that went behind your name (Sadly I am not skilled enough at image editing or drawing to make a mockup of this quickly). And every title should get this, maybe except for the cheaper robux donation related ones.
Maybe something like this? The title above your player would have this translucent emblem centered instead of on the left. It’s less intrusive and bears less resemblance to the opaque icons (Any of them), but still cool enough to make the titles feel more rewarding (since that seems to be the problem this solution has identified).
i see red lightning for players i upvote
I dunno… I loved cosmetics and I love the idea of badges granting unique magics! I really do… I dont really think its needed though! Perhaps it would make the game really cluttered- And i dont think non-mages can enjoy such changes…
Rwally enjoyed the creativity+
