games like world of magic, phantom forces, arsenal, bloxburg, and jailbreak all required tons of effort to make and got popular for a major reason

Used to play adopt me to troll people but it’s untrollable at this rate.
I used to like adopt me since it had quite the creativity and trolling was quite fun. The fact the developers didn’t remove pets when the community got transformed is the issue. They thought it was okay, but in turn they made a pet grinding game. They should just change the name to “Pet Grinding”
But about adopt me I don’t really care about it except for one thing. A lot of times when new players join roblox, the front page is usually what turns them away from the website. Even streamers who get told to try roblox, in the rare chance they listen they go on adopt me first because not knowing the site they think the very first game should be the best. They see adopt me as a kids game with way too many ads and then don’t bother to try any actually quality games on the site like WoM.
I wish roblox would have better categorization for the front page. Upon creating their account players can be recommended to choose a few tags such as FPS, obbys, pvp, horror, and others that would help them be recommend games they would be interested in. It might also note age and sort games by what age groups make up most of their players. Would solve a lot of issues, Im not sure if they are planning something similar but this is just my thought.
Adopt me is quality. I dunno where you got those notions of it being a “simulator game”, but you’ve got to remember the targetted audience is children.
What may not seem appealing to us 13+ is basically wonderland for those 8-11 year olds.
It’s a well made game though. I can’t fault it except for the fact that it absolutely does need better moderation.
Yes I know there are a lot of teenagers on Roblox, but there are also kids. Most of the time they won’t concern themselves with the technicalities and just tick every box they find.
Blatantly bad website design if an 8 year old ticks “PvP” and becomes exposed to violence and toxicity.
if i was a big youtuber, then i would make a video telling my audience that roblox is not ALL a kids website, and i would tell them that they see roblox as only a kids site bcus THEY JUDGE IT BY THE COVER OF ITS BOOK and that they need to put more effort in looking at roblox for the first time.
oh, and if i was a big youtuber, i would also link ACTUALLY GOOD games in the youtube descriptions, like wom.

lazy developer’s and roblox game recommendation is also the reason why roblox become so stale nowadays
Eh personally I understand why they are put off by roblox. Specifically streamers, chat often argues for what game they should play, everyone recommending something different. You’ll have people begging for stuff like jailbreak, arsenal, anime games, whatever, and then the chat just fills up with others people saying the game is “trash” and they should just do something else.
