Well they don’t lose the ability to cast magic, it just becomes extremely straining to do so that there is no reason to use magic over your curse abilities

Yes and no, while magical energy can allow you to hit curse users, most magic users would end up losing to curse users from what I recall

the absorption curse on its own would get washed by basically anyone, unless the cursed is already a powerful person already
“it can still drain your energy!” you need to weaken them to do that, you also need to go near if not physically touch them
people overated the absorption curse way too much, same with lazarus
remember, the only reason Freedrock is as broken as he is rn is due to his astronomically high luck, literally everyone else would probably die in less than 5 or 10 times
the shockwave curse, however, is very terrifying yes
the energy curse is similar to the absorption curse in that its dependent on its user
the wave curse is strong on it own tho
