~ Washed Ashore, Far From Home ~

Dark Sea is famed for being an alluring topic for most to hear across the War Seas. Despite its waters harboring nothing of value, mankind has never disproved its own delusion of intending to find something — anything — within the bleak, magic-polluted wastes.

Faint Hope was a brig-type vessel designed specifically for prolonged and independent research of the Dark Sea’s most mysterious region — the Far Reaches, which had little to no documenting prior to the ship’s construction.

The supervisors of the project understood that Faint Hope’s design required the biggest of accents to be put on the crew’s moral and physical endurance. For that reason, most of the brig’s defensive measures were removed in order to make space for cozy sleeping quarters,

..an inviting upper-deck dining hall

..and a compact supply storage harboring all of the crew’s needs to survive the harsh conditions of the Dark Sea.

As for the crew, it consisted of 4 individuals: a captain, a cartographer, a chef and a sailor. Each and all were cherry-picked picked out of numerous candidates — with the best of the best becoming the finalized vision of Faint Hope’s crew.

Despite all the preparations and hard work put into the quixotic expedition, Faint Hope has never been reported to dock back at any civilized settlement within War Seas. As years of waiting turned into decades, it became rather clear that the vessel and its crew are unlikely to ever return. The true reason for the ship’s disappearance stays unknown to this day — with different myths and theories circulating about what caused its demise.

Some folks assume that Faint Hope encountered something so surreal and accursed that neither the ship nor its crew even stood a chance.

Others confer a less prodigious premise — that the crew was driven insane by the cruel conditions and their draining sanity; succumbing to a long, agonizing death.

It’s impossible to know what happened for sure. Nevertheless, the ship’s legend lives on and is passed down through generations as a brutal reminder of the eternal danger lurking within Dark Sea.

After the construction blueprints came to light, Faint Hope’s modified brig design quicky became adored by merchants and traders who aim to cross the sea with comfort and style — simultaneously having enough space to stash their goods at.

(Another Roblox Studio build of mine!! Initially started out of the need for a brig model in order to continue construction of Yangaria, but veered away into its own thing with time.. Though I am still planning to use the core design of Faint Hope for some ships that will be stationed around the kingdom.)

Regarding these specific art-works; I always wanted the Dark Sea to favor towards its color more, instead of just being a dark sea.

The art-works showcase that the Dark Sea could be so significantly more… “dangerous” in visuals alone; the unnatural part of having a redd-ish pink sky with rough clouds.

This is absolute cinema, hell of a good job.
