poor grandpops broke his fucking hip
Water weakness is like 10x worse for her
Its not fair! It should’ve been me! Not him!
horrible way for her to cope and attempt at keeping a tough exterior, you’re not exactly going to open up about it to the guy you’re trying to kill. this ain’t steven universe.
Meaning this in the nicest way possible, as I am glad people are taking notice of my characters. That being said, bro’s going wild over the concept of a fictional woman.
Anyways you got some of the nicest interpretations of Calvus and Julian, I for one definitely enjoy the idea, but I do giggle a little when after reading this I go over to the Wiki and it practically starts with saying Calvus hates poor people.
i could make so many jokes about this but i dont wanna get banned
Thanks for the kind words, I still feel Calvus is certainly evil (I mean he perpetuated a genocide for Protector’s sake,) but at the same time I do feel there’s more nuance to him than just calling him a racist who hates poor people.
As for Julian, while he is certainly complicit in the atrocities of Ravenna I don’t think he’s the arrogant Homelander wannabe most people think he is. He’s a soldier who loves his country, and he just heard that some unknown terrorist killed his mentor and thousands of his comrades. Of course he’d be furious with the player, I personally think he was hunting MC as soon as got the news of Argos’s death. Which taking this all into account I feel his “I finally found you!” line is much more warrantied.
Ravenna is Rome but lacks the letters “o” “m” and is the shittiest kingdom in AU. Thus it makes sense for their leaders to lack clothing.
I like to think that Julian totally wiped the floor with Morden during their fight. Like it wasn’t even remotely close for the most part and Julian completely incapacitated him like we saw in the aftermath when Iris was carrying him into the throne room. The only reason Julian ending up running was because Morden had managed to hit him once or twice and either thanks to the sheer power of the death curse, or the effect of it’s decay over time on Julian’s body during the fight, it weakened Julian enough that even Iris was strong enough to fend him off and force him to flee.
Yes I am a Julian glazer, why do you ask?
That’s actually pretty close to how I portrayed it in my story. It makes a lot of sense considering that Julian is able to turn into a non-organic material, so the Death Curse would have no effect. However, I do believe that Morden at least put up a good fight at the start anyway.
I’d imagine he must’ve since if he didn’t Julian would’ve been mostly fine and Iris(and Edward if you have him at this point) would’ve been totally screwed
That’s pretty much it, yeah. Julian had way more experience in both fighting AND as a curse user. Morden only won because the Death Curse is crazy strong. And Morden didn’t even beat him, they only reached a standstill. Julian probably figured that if the fight kept going on, Iris would’ve joined, and even if she wasn’t a problem on her own to him, a 2v1 would have him on the ropes, increasing the chances of him getting hit by the Death Curse.
I do like to think that Edward did a more than decent job at helping Iris. At this point of the story, it’s implied it would be a problem if she tried to pick a fight with a centurion, according to Neviro’s journal. However, due to Edward being a former Captain for 7 years, (and Captain NPCs being close level to Centurions, both around level 100), he is able to subdue them in hand to hand combat, while it would be a problem if they got close to Iris. So Edward acts as the frontline while Iris deals with the swarm of Ensigns and Legionnaires.
Considering that Morden was unable to walk without help from Iris after his fight with Julian, I’d say that it was more a win for Julian rather than a stalemate(unless you’re talking about the overall fight including Iris, in which case yeah he lost), but like I said before he got weakened enough that he wouldn’t be able to beat Iris if he fought her right then so kinda just had to flee. Thats at least how I think it went based on what little info we have on the fight.
I agree on the Edward take, it is kinda weird that his level doesn’t reflect that, probably just for gameplay reasons since he’s the earliest quartermaster you can get.
love how this topic became a julian hype thread
and im all for for it keep spreading that glass bastard’s agenda fellas
If Julian has 100 glazers I’m one of them
If Julian has 1 glazer, its me
If Julian has 0 glazers then the universe has been erased because that is the only thing that could stop me
Can someone explained to me what a glazer is?
Totally agree, I honestly never understood why people despise him so much.
Maybe it’s just because he one shots us, but like the man’s a curse user you’re not do the math. Honestly I find it impressive he only managed to seriously wound us.
I think it was also due to the fact that Morden may have tried to brute force his Curse, when Death is actually more of a slow, decaying type magic. Not only that, Curses rely on physical stamina as you are basically one with the Curse itself, so Morden likely used more force than necessary, which also made him burn out rather quickly in the fight.
I have a headcanon that Morden isnt exactly the physical type, so would that make the situation less favorable for him.
Referring to people who “glaze” someone, basically meaning they’re hyping them up a lot. Typically its used to refer to people other than yourself when you think someone is kind’ve unjustifiably hyping someone up, but it works when talking about justified hype too.
Like if someone were to go “so-and-so is the strongest most well written character in fiction!” and go on and on about how cool they are to an extreme degree, that would be glazing.
Stealing all these cool and smart General Julian headcanons because I don’t have any of my own and want to know more about his character (it’s my thread I can do what I want)
Just kidding I’m not gonna but really neat stuff y’all!
