We're a god-descendant, they're not even hiding it anymore

(sorry for not pulling up my sources, it’s late and I wanna get to bed)

Relatively early on in the Q&A, they said you have to be “special in the same way the player is” to use spirit energy without a spirit weapon. And in a discord message in patreon chat, Vetex said only legacies, people with god blood, can use spirit energy without a spirit weapon. So yup, that does it.

I mean, it was already obvious for… so many reasons. “Divine” Spirit Energy (also being blood colors), spirit weapon patrimony, Poseidon literally calling us a legacy, etc. But this is the final nail in the very cool coffin.

OH! Final thing before I sleep, this also confirms Theos has god blood, since he was also said to be special in the same way as the AO player. He really lives up to his name.

AOMC was said to be special in another way that’s shared with Theos (double special)
It’s not the god blood thing, Theos didn’t use spirit energy

Source? I don’t remember them saying anything similar to the “double special”.

please say you mean patreon :sob:
please say you mean patreon :sob:

There’s no outright statement but I kinda summed it up here

I hope we get a cutscene of durza fighting theos recap

Yeah I meant patreon, I was tired and in a rush sorry

Isn’t the in game term for this a Legacy or is that still speculation?

That is the term, yeah

Spirit energy wasn’t added until AO, after Theos. And you might wanna note that he had a magical staff with no explanation at the time, which is now exactly what spirit weapons are.

Just because Legacies can use spirit energy without a spirit weapon doesn’t mean they have to. Theos probably just didn’t know he could do it or never bothered learning or training it. Or it’s as Stock said and he’s going to be retconned into a spirit energy user.

Small correction, that staff was arcanium, which would make it impossible for it to be a spirit weapon, since arcanium wasn’t invented until long after spirit weapons stopped being created.

Do Arcanium staves exist? Exclusing the kind of staff that you just hit people with like we currently have in the game. I mean as in like, a giant wand, would that even work?

I don’t see why not.

Actually, wasn’t there other arcanium (magic) staff items in AA? I know they’re in AR.
And there’s that plan to have magic casting accessories like tomes, I just figured that was split between arcanium weapons and spirit weapons.

Didn’t Vetex say in the Q&A that those probably won’t be a thing anymore

Didn’t watch it, I might later.

Oh nvm someone already posted

My theory is that Silas and Theos have an ability to specifically combat curse users think about it even though Theo’s was just a normal human he could take on Acheron who had one of the most broken curses well technically blessing and he had a lot of curses in his arsenal and in the qna they say Silas won’t become extremely strong like Wotan and Warren so my theory is this ability allows someone to weaken curse users in some way I think it might be a way to magically pollute one’s attack as that is the weakness of curse users. Btw it’s pretty obvious Silas is a legacy but it might be possible they have 2 special powers which are legacy and curse hindering

Vetex was hiding it? Since when? Shit was the most on the nose part about the MC
