What are the eleven unknowns

I do not understand. How does a character join them? How are the numbers assigned? How do people know when a new person is strong enough to become one? How can there always be exactly eleven when the whereabouts and status of most of them are a mystery at any given time?

We do know that you are given unknown status for being stronger than cursebeard. That was the point of them. The numbers are just assigned to anyone, you could be the strongest and be 11th. Word of mouth probably spreads that one of them died and that there is a new one, they just dont say what their name is. They are a mystery most of the time but show their heads from time to time.

Also most of the unknowns are said to have god magic which makes them better than curse users. There are exceptions like freedrock because he dosn’t naturally use magic.

The Eleven Unknowns you say… well, they’re the most powerful people in the Arcane Universe. In fact, they’re called Unknowns for a reason since nobody knows much or anything really to who each of them are. The numbers though are arranged from 1 to 11 from most powerful to least while still all being very powerful.

The First Unknown is Chaos, the most powerful being there is. More powerful than its Creator themself. It is said that it travels to multiple places, ravaging them each, one by one.

The Second Unknown is the Creator of the Universe. It is said that they created the universe by purely an experiment.

Unknowns 3-6 are said to be deities. Not much is known about them

Unknown 7 is Torren the Kingslayer. Currently, he is the most powerful human alive possesses the Darkflame Curse

As you may most likely know, The Peacekeeper is the 8th Unknown. The famous symbol of peace was once a commoner who died but was then revived 800 or so years later and becomes the figure that we know of today.

Unknowns 9 and 10 are a little tricky, as it’s quite complicated as of this moment who they are. We know at one point Zues was considered the 9th Unknown

And Finally Unknown 11, Freedrock the Undying. He is known for having the Lazarus Curse, making him have the ability to cheat death multiple times, yet it’s not always a guarantee.

Right now, it’s uncertain as to how one becomes an Unknown. Almost all the time, they are all scattered about in different locations, not even knowing of each other. They are so unknown that even their amount of power is not even known. The more you go up from 11 to 1, the more power each one has before the other with each having exponential gaps from each other.

you sure they are listed from weakest to strongest? could I get a source for that just so I know where it says that?

pretty sure 1st would be the strongest and 11th the weakest but i might be wrong

Can’t check because the peacekeeper becoming an unknown was removed from the lore document or I just cant find it

11th - 7th unknowns are just humans while the others are just some idk word lmao, like who tf is Chaos amirite

Basically its a tier list of the strongest metamancers of this universe

Isn’t Valencia an Unknown?

No She died

What if Randle was behind the whole 11 Unknowns thing. He is a writer, and he does have a huge influence on what people know about.

Not even close

So pretty much people just decided “let’s keep track of the eleven strongest people and give them a spooky name”

No, they’re ranked by power

Edit:: Also what KFC said

what happens if 12 people are stronger than him
they’re called 11 unknowns because they’re the strongest 11 people in the universe (at least, the strongest 11 people in the universe that are relevant to humanity)

They’re practically unharmable to anyone who isn’t an unknown but there are special scenarios.

If Theos was still alive he would most likely be an unknown, or help from the MC.

But why did people decide “Yeah, the 11 strongest people are important. Not 10, not 12, but 11.”

Because the 11 unknowns are miles stronger than the 12th and are mostly mythological.
