Pretty much what the title says (this is half me curious about your opinions and half looking for recommendations lol)
hi, editing this later to say i realised i forgot to say what i was into
for me its currently Wings Of Fire, Warriors, Skandar, and The Hunger Games. i’m also tempted to at some point read The Fault In Our Stars, Eliza And Her Monsters, and the Divergent trilogy.
other books that i’ve read that i enjoyed include Artemis Fowl and The Edge Chronicles, just to name a couple
Inheritance series
One of the very few fantasy universes where magic actually makes sense, has logic limitations and doesn’t riddle it with plot holes, unlike so many magic systems where it’s just “random bullshit go”
Wings of Fire, Harry Potter, Minecraft: The Island,
The Elements by Theodore Gray. The lore is pretty great, especially the stuff in the B 5, Na 11, S 16 and U 92 arcs. A shame it had to end so flatly because it reached the little content on the current discoveries of the highest elements.
You could try some Agatha Christie classics like And Then There Were None or the Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple books.
Or for fantasy, you could also try Songs of Chaos, Wereworld or Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere universe (I personally preferred Stormlight Archive to any of the others but they’re mostly all a good read)
Nearly all of Lemony Snicket’s Books, namely A Series of Unfortunate Evens and All the Wrong Questions, many of the short stories and novels from The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and The Lord of the Rings, including The Hobbit.
DUNE. Forever, and always, DUNE. The first six are fantastic, and yes, they get less good afterwards, but they are still nothing short of art and amazing work.
Also House of Leaves, one of the best books I’ve ever read. Don’t forget Game of Thrones, and Percy Jackson. Also LOTR, of course, and the Halo book(s). Oh, and my final good rec, King in Yellow. Trust.
