nevertheless, those are some rookie numbers
imo there were probably hundreds of similar books before it, itās just the one that got popular. (I should probably just stop going off topic now)
you made me remember daniel x
I havenāt read a book in a long time, but I used to read books from Alexander Gordon Smith.
Specifically, I read the Escape from Furnace book series.
I never got to read this one though, pretty sure this is a prequel to the main series. Kinda explaining the origins of an important character if I had to guess.
Everything by Rick Riordan. You all should read them. Itās kinda sad how none of you guys were able to piece together that the statues in the Abyss of Charon were of Hades.
Wait, nobody on the forums has said that?
It felt so obvious to me that I literally didnāt even post about it. Itās a death cult and the statue of the guy has a bidentāan item associated with Hades.
Huh.
I had to dm one of the Wiki editors to get that piece of info put in the trivia part of the Makrinaos page
In any case
Thereās far better books than these, just throwing that out there. Iāve read them. Theyāre mediocrity at its most wishfufill-y. Maze Runner, while still shy of the Hunger Games, is still a better dystopian. Even if it is a bit childish in narrative.
Just watch the movies. If you really wanna know what happens. You wonāt spend as much time on a story that frankly doesnāt deserve twenty hours of your life.
You, my good forumer, have exquisite taste.
The Hunger Games, I feel, is a cornerstone of modern literature. Itās deeper than what most people give it credit for, and it has several vital messages that, unfortunately, have flown over many peopleās heads in favor of āooohhh, cute love triangle!!!ā
Dude, please help, Iāve been reading Mistborn nonstop and I havenāt seen my family in sixteen days. Currently midway through the third book.
I should really read Minecraft: The Mountain sometime
You should eventually its got a ton of good books
Iāma be perfectly honest this and Ready Player One were on my list of future reads but Iāve since lost interest, might come back round at some point but idk
I mean my attention span for books is about 10x better than for movies so I kinda doubt this lol
Thanks for all the feedback Iāll keep it in mind
Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari and Cosmos by Carl Sagan would be my two top picks. Even though I had to read through all the crinkly pages for an assignment, it was a good read.
Honorable mention:
Guns germs and steel.
not for maze runner, the movies are nothing like the books especially when you get to 2 and 3
Heās on about Divergent
oh
I never read/watched that
Yeah same but Iām interested in reading it ngl, there are a couple other things higher on my list but itās there
no quite a few people knew that

Evidently not nearly enough.
I meant for Divergent.
But yeah, the Maze Runner movies sucked.

iām also tempted to at some point read The Fault In Our Stars, Eliza And Her Monsters, and the Divergent trilogy.
I think on my next trip to Waterstones Iāll shoot for one of these, which one yāall recommend
- TFIOS
- EAHM
- Divergent
- Idfk I just wanna see the results
