despite it being discounted quite a fair bit, i didnt get free shipping (only free shipping to the us) and conversion rates are a bit smelly. instead of paying like 30$ i ended up paying 110$
i also forgot to log into my crunchyroll account so i payed more than i could have
my parents destroyed a frying pan earlier so they needed a new one, conveniently when they left to go buy one it was black friday. good on them
my brother bought a background for his phone (how do you buy a background) it was some spy x family thing it was that weird ass face the little girl does
some girls in my grade were going to buy dresses for our grade 12 formal despite us being in grade 11 right now
they probably wouldnt have even worn them they would have just bought new ones because the ones they bought this year are like sooooo '22
did any of you buy anything or did you forgor it happen skull emoji

I don’t like buying stuff since I just feel guilt from it, the only things I’m kinda comfortable buying are games but even then I don’t buy many games and usually it’s something cheap (like below 20 bucks 90% of the time) and I rarely ask
that and black friday isn’t a thing here at all other than at western stores
you live in egypt right?
now that i look at it, yeah i can imagine yall arent super big on it. though i would imagine some supermarkets might have some stock like 10% or smth
Though it’s not really a monetary thing, my family is likely in a better financial position than actually a lot of people even in the west, and I’m very grateful for that, but it’s just I’m not a big fan of spending money on things other than essentials since I either feel guilt or feel like I could spend it on something more useful/I don’t deserve to buy this thing. So much so that my family and friends often say that me and my older brother are too stingy with money and that our kids would barely have an allowance (I try not to be stingy when it comes to other people since that’s just a bad thing, but when it comes to myself It’s a bit eh).
I don’t think there even is a supermarket at my hometown in egypt
Well if (hopefully) nothing happens to my parents or their work I probably will not have to work until I take the specializing year in college, and even then I’d just be working to get experience. Not for the (horrible) pay, so uh I might feel this guilt for a while. (The culture in arabian countries is super different than to the west, people’s parents here usually keep supporting their child even till like their thirties)
is it that easy to get work while youre in college in the middle east? i know here you pretty much need to work a dead end job during high school to be allowed to work when youre an adult
I’m not sure what you mean. In egypt at least for medical college you take 5 years studying and 1 last year specializing (or whatever the term is in english) and you get your bachelors when you’re done, I’m pretty sure it’s just part of the education system to do some practical work on the final year. If you’re asking if it’s better or something for someone to work some random part time job in college/before college for their portfolio or something and have an easier time getting an acutal job after college, then no, they’re not related.
what i kind of meant was that, work places usually wont hire you even if you meet the requirements (degree, etc), unless you have had at least SOME work experience in the past. maccas, supermarket, etc
we come from two entirely different worlds i have no idea why im trying to get to know your drugged cat lookin ass better
yeah they’re not related, and even if it is related and i dont know, all males in egypt have to serve 1-2 years in the military before i can get to work + the fact that you do some work in the last year of college under it’s supervision anyway
