So a bit less then a week ago I had made this post in writing about this premise:
Ravenna's Faster AU
Ravenna's Faster AU
But the issue I’ve been having now is I don’t really know what to do from here, mostly because of a lack of specifics on Sameria and Skyhall’s powers.
So this post is doubling as two things. Me just genuinely wanting to know what you guys think would happen in this scenario, and me siphoning free ideas out of the community.
Please refrain from pulling anything out of your ass though, any changes should come as a result of the alteration in the title.
Well I don’t think Argos realistically should’ve taken the cloud curse (hes probably the worst candidate for it)
I would assume Argos publicly owning the Cloud Curse would result in an actual war between Ravenna and Azura Province, since Beringer was a diplomat from Azura.
So yeah, Ravenna-Azura war, Warren is likely allowed to actually fold every single person in Ravenna.
don’t really know about calvus though, his death curse would be weaker than Warren’s (potential) inferno curse.

we’d get the warren-iris-mc beatdown of Ravenna we all want to see
The reason that Argos absorbs the cloud curse in this AU is out of urgency due to him knowing that somebody had snuck into Talos and gotten info on where the death curse was from Beringer(He doesn’t know that its specifically Morden cause at this point Morden is basically a nobody). He absorbs the cloud curse so he can cut off anyone trying to head for the death curse. I’m debating on whether Morden sees Argos and turns around or if Argos sees him first and offs him.
The reason I don’t think Azura would declare war though is because Warren already knows for a fact that Ravenna is responsible for Beringer’s death and yet no war, so I don’t think Argos taking the cloud curse would change things.
I wouldn’t count that out as possible though, probably won’t use that for my story though just cause Ravenna would get curb-stomped. Though I could see a scenario where Ravenna could work with Sameria and Keraxe in this situation as the treaties are still in effect and Keraxe especially seems to be looking for an excuse to fight someone.
this is because he does not want to reveal his presence, if warren spoke out it would cause issues on why he was even infiltrating a foreign nation (+ bring the order on his ass proper)
Even then Ravenna having the cloud curse wouldn’t be enough proof because while unlikely Ravenna could’ve just been lucky enough for the cloud curse to land nearby them and Warren can’t use his own testimony without the same issues you’ve stated. For something like starting a war you really need a concrete reason something being super likely but not absolutely certain, is not enough.
Not to mention, the Order could pull some strings to make it seem like Beringer died in some other way. Maybe a Sea Monster attack or something destroyed their ship and they fell into the water, and since the Cloud Curse is so weak it, when it shot out it landed in the Bronze Sea rather than some other sea.
Ravenna would still probably need to return the curse. In the War Seas, curses are gifts from leaders to trusted figures, the Cloud Curse is still property of the Azura Province and would create either a diplomatic incident where Ravenna would be forced to return it, or a genuine war where Ravenna would be portrayed as the aggressor. If Ravenna is seen as the aggressor in a war of this degree, it’s very likely a coalition would form, (Likely either the Thorne or Keraxe) potentially leading to the Gravy intervening to aid the wronged party (in this case Azura), so yeah war is a near absolute guarantee.
+the cloud curse would 1000% be strong enough to be thrusted out of the sea. (a weak curse is still strong enough to propel itself hundreds if not thousands of kilometers. (@Crusade )
A lot of that is headcanon and assumption, so I can’t really do anything with that
We’d still fold that old geezer’s wrinkled hindquarters.
… Calvus would screw us over, though.
I mean with the cloud curse I doubt the affects of old age are nearly as prominent if they’re there at all so we’d be up against something very similar to if not just as strong as prime Argos who’s probably stronger than the typical level 80 mc that fought him.
i doubt argos would even want the cloud curse. He seems to really dislike the idea of magic (possibly headcannon, possibly not) but even if that isn’t true, he seems like the type of person to not take a curse. He may fear his old age and know that the curse could solve it, but idk if he would take the cheap way out and take a curse.
I’ve stated why he takes it in this AU in my writing post and a previous comment here, but regardless that doesn’t really matter. The post is asking about what would happen once he did absorb the cloud curse(along with Calvus getting the death curse) not if he would do it in the first place.
We don’t really have a scale on how far the curse launch themselves. All we know is that the Promethean Flame Curse gets launched into orbit, which is…
So yeah, def not thousands or hundreds of kilometers. It’s likely a more horizontal launch than vertical, but chances are it’s probably going to be closer to the height planes fly at which is ~10-13 km. Could probably make a Desmos graph equation to calculate the trajectory and distance from the launch point.
I mean hundreds of kilometers away from the sea cluster, to another point on earth
(also we got AO physics now???)
Depends, not like we know the velocity these things shoot out with.
