DEEPWOKEN IS A SIMULATOR
You need to gain strength through a book you have to buy with notes, a currency like all simulators have, then you buy those weights and you use it to gain strength like a simulator, when you get high enough you need to sail like a traveling simulator, then you must farm erisia for levels most of the time for levels like a simulator. you also have a currency you can always get and the higher you have the better things you can buy like a simulator. You would need to buy more items to gain more points and use those points you gain faster and easier progression like simulators. this is my take

completely agree, I’ve seen things such as farming enemies, buying stuff, and traveling in a map in a bunch of simulators which CLEARLY means that any game that has any of these aspects is a simulator.
If something related to me from this topic will be used in forum for third time to cause drama. Deepwoken if it was good:
Deepwoken, despite its multitude of flaws and horrid community, is a very unique experience for ROBLOX. It is a concept that’s a breath of fresh air for the platform. However, comparing it to AO isn’t really a fair statement.
Deepwoken is more PVP focused (currently)
It has small updates weekly that balances Weapons, attunements, and small bugs, fixes, and other progression issues addressed in suggestions, but the main focus is on PVP builds. For Deepwoken the lore is secondary, and the story is not relevant in a person’s progression, as the only time it is relevant is when you’re leaving the depths after death, skipping dialogue.
AO, on the other hand,
Focuses on the story and exploration, making PVP secondary, despite some unbalances in the game right now (hopefully soon to be fixed and reworked). The game wants you to look at the lore of the world, explore and fight bosses and NPCs of certain regions, and even fishing at certain islands changes what fish you get from them. The combat of this game with other players is not Indepth as in deepwoken, there are areas in pvp in which it becomes impossible to avoid another’s attacks or evade, and playstyles end up mostly the same with the t jump to attack combo (oooh that shit was cold) but that is not the games focus
Point being
they are 2 separate fucking games, one on PVP and one more on PVE
with all due respect, this shouldn’t be a comparison
if people leave AO for deepwoken, or vice versa, there is just something in one game thats not in the other. FFS Vet doesn’t truly hate deepwoken, he just hates his game being compared to it like a sibling rivalry
I believe each game should be appreciated for what they have, and deserve to be treated as their own games, not tools for a popularity contest
